y0z2aSport 172/182 Brake Kit

ABS ones are coming as quick as I can hammer the discs flat and round...

the problem is the parts arent there in the quality that I need them, so is taking time to get the parts of an appropriate quality.

***JUST GOT A CALL - THEY WILL BE HERE TOMORROW :) ***

well get intouch when you have a price for -

front disks
front pads
abs rear disks
brake lines

I had these fitted at GDI on Friday.
As soon as I took it up the road I noticed that they were as good as std. Now Followed Yozs bedding in instructions and feeling better. Done 300 miles now.
Cant wait for the trackday end of the month at bedford.

Just got back from Bedford Autodrome.
It seemed like it was a Porsche day! 12 GT3RS and 2 Carrera GTs!
The brakes are much better than std. Only I liked to cool them down. Did not find fade at all. Very impressed!

Jesus my head hurts.

For Full Kit:

Performance Friction 97 Pads (F)
Brembo Hi-Carbon Discs (F)
Goodridge Stainless Steel Braided Brake Hoses (F&R)

GBP 275 inc Vat & Delivery for the above

Brembo Rear Disc (no bearings - press them out of current Discs / Buy new ones)
Rear Replacement Pads

(You only need standard discs and pads on the rear in our experience, pointless spending money on rear pads (120+ for pagid blues) that are un-necessary)

GBP 275 + 70 for rear discs and pads - GBP 345 for discs and pads all round. (at most this will go up by GBP 10 to cover the extra carriage charge)

no our top spec kit is, but its not exactly afordable!!

yes they are awesome, squeak a bit when cold, but the hotter you get them, the better they work

this setup is better than the Hispec setup i have on my car, and that was about £700!!! compared to £275, id say youre getting the best performance for not much money

people always think 4pots are the best, great if you have £700+ to play with (plus replacement costs are higher)

but remember a clio isnt a heavy car, and has no real need for 4 pots

we did recently find at oulton that we were getting slight fade, but the outside temperature was 30deg and also the 182 wheels are officially crap in terms of cooling!!! so not too bad, unless youre a nutbag driver, i very much doubt youll reach the brake temps we were getting

I have just noticied they use these pads on the clio cup race cars. I cant seem to find much info on pads.

How much would this parts cost in the shops?

p.s what does OEM mean, keep seeing this everywhere.

OEM = Original Equipment from Manufacture

Bezza, ill get back to you (if i forget, ring me on 07769712624 i live in Knowle)

Is this kit still available? If so what would the cost be fitted (if possible)?

Last question. Could the kit be tailored i.e pad selection, for road use only?

Ta:)
