You have to take Chi's car-buying advice with a pinch of salt given that he buys something different every week! ;)

If the Trophy does go I want something lairy and Impreza-shaped, like a P1 or Type-R.

Wrong time of year IMO also you paid that from a dealer and your expecting most of your money back which is a bit ambitious IMO..

Hoping to do Bedford but I'll definitely be at cadwell on Feb :) come and borrow it for a week I'll take yours but it probably won't move much. .

Mondial blue 172 Cup. I bought it on 41k and its now at 60k miles, part history with loads of receipts and most MOT's. K-Tec stealth exhaust.

Excellent bodywork with no dents(my mates a PDR tech so ive kept on top of it). Ive machine polished it a few times and it looks very nice. No scratches.

Its been looked after mostly by Fred at BTM in my care and has the following work done:

1. Cambelt, aux belt, dephaser pulley, spark plugs, rocker bolts resealed.
2. Gearbox oil change.
3. Serviced 3 times.
4. New header tank and coolant change.
5. New discs and pads all round with braided hoses and Superblue fluid.
6. Wheels refurbed with new Toyos and Nokian winter tyres.
7. New engine mounts all round and powerflex dogbone.
8. New Hella headlights.
9. Complete suspension overhaul consisting of Cooksport springs, Cup dampers, lower arms, ball joints, tie rods and rod ends. Alignment carried out on Hunter machine.
10. New cat fitting kit.

All parts are genuine Renault bar the engine mounts.

The only criticism is the usual steering wheel issue. Thumb grips are fine but rim has the usual melting.

You'll get good strong money for that. I'd personally put it up at £2999.

Was going to fit this to my track car but I'm having 2nd thoughts. .
Removed from a cup racer full set of brake lines inc bias valve they run inside the car and come with grommets also included is a brand new master cylinder* CUB

Chi, without meaning to sound rude, is that not just some copper pipe and the necessary components?? Which are readily available anyway? I can't really see any value in it?

Bodywork - trolley dent and small scuff on rear bumper, just a few chips other than this.
Belts and dephaser done at about 80k
Disk pads braided line and fluid all done about 80k too
Dogbone and lower gbox mount done at 82k
Few other bits done over the year, recently new pair of ps3 tyres too.

£2k easy £2.5k tops do you think?

Is it a cup or cup - packed?

I'd say a ff RB 182 is worth £2500 all day, even with 80k miles!

Sorry cup but with 182FF front seats.

I'd want £2.5k but wondering if that's a push so thought I'd see what a few on here thought.

Not necessarily up for sale.. Yet! lol.

Hi, Ive let my 2002 172 cup sit in the garage for the last couple of months so going to get rid not sure what to do with it though, The tax and mot are out so value is down but its got recently refurbed turini's (less than 1000 miles ago) private plate which ive had an offer of £350 for and a Stainless exhaust system on it, so wondering if its worth more in parts than as a whole car?
 
Cant remember to be honest havent been in the car for a while just remember tread was very good on all, just been looking at prices and even just selling wheels stainless system and reg plate gonna give me 800 ish so might just ebay the rest of the car as spares wont need to reach much to make the money up anyway
 
Adamm - I'd try for closer to 3 - yours is well known and clean, I paid £2500 for mine with 71000 miles but wasn't in the best condition and that was only 3 months ago - I searched long and hard and was the best deal I could find - in comparison I would have jumped at yours!

few minor scratchs but hardly any stone chips.

straight through exhaust ( not loud or drone's on motorway )
