Clio 182 Artic blue

Paid only a few quid for this 59k artic blue 182.

Flew through it’s mot today with no issues, feels nice and tight.

Downsides, dephaser is shot and it’s had a really bad smart repair on the top left of bonnet and corner of one wing which has reacted. Done along time ago so wonder if it was a dealer job.

All original bill of sale receipts, every single Renault book, tyre foam, cargo net, accident pack etc. original panels original dealer plates still fitted.

Not a bad car for peanuts.

Aye, the centre of it has.

Don’t really care when it cost £400.

Oh yeah definitely, can’t moan! Plan to flip it?

Not going to lie, was going to flip it. But after driving it and going over it thoroughly I’m gonna keep it.

Even the jacking points are great which makes a nice change.

Going in for belts service next week which includes every belt, pulley and dephaser as wells as plus, oil and filter.

£600 bill coming up.

Still, a grand for a sorted 182 is not to be sniffed at, especially on those miles

Will be a very nice low mileage, low owner car with both Cup packs in desirable colour. Very nice.

Just picked the car up from it’s £671 service!

Drives like a dream, really nice.

Had belts, all tensioners, pulleys, seals, auxillary belts etc including oils using genuine parts only.

Also checked the inner arches before i invest anymore money’s into it, pleased to report they are mint!

Managed to find a mint set of headlights with lugs and adjuster intact which is a bonus.

Once fitted I will have the door dents removed, Paint front bumper, deep clean interior and paint correct the exterior.

Once that’s done she will be off for alignment then up for sale.

Will be a stunner once finished but I have two new phase 1s that need restoring and I much rather keep one of those over a 182.

What method do you use to deep clean the interior Ant?

What method do you use to deep clean the interior Ant?

Multiple detailing brushes combined with microfiber cloths and decent on spray cleaner for all plastics.

Seats I use horse bristle brushes and the same cleaner.

Carpet I will remove and use the wet vax with Auto Smart Brisk extra to clean. Same product will be used on headliner also.

I’m a great fan of the natural finish so won’t use any finishing products on plastics etc.

Auto Finesse glass cleaner will be used on the windows.

I do have multiple cleaners I have tried over the years, I will post them up when I can be arsed to take a photo of what I use.

Nice to see an original splitter!

Imagine how much a specialist would be asking for this once it’s had belts & been cleaned :D:oops:

Front end coming along nicely, door dent guy coming on Friday, then she's going in for paint.

Here are a few pics after PDR has been done, really good result. Although not that bad before I can see a ripple/dent from miles away so always rewarding when done right.

Sadly due to another set of headlights arriving with fucked adjusters I have ordered the replacements parts so she will have to stay on axle stands a little longer.

Coming along nicely now.

I bet that's fun jacking on that surface, still better than my sloping drive

You can fix the adjusters with some new BMW ones normally?

I won't post headlights as courier companies seem to use parcels as rugby balls!!

You bought that Merc too then?

Yes I have ordered new adjusters, it's not the money that's the issue, just having to wait for another 3-5 days for them to arrive.

Another set of wheels to go on although there’s not a lot wrong with the originals!

Ok so these aren't glamorous edited pics as the car is working progress however it's now booked in for paint, everything exterior wise is now done on my part.

Massive improvement from when I first collected the car and will be a belter once done.

When I collected.

Very nice! Artic is a lovely colour. Does not look like it needs any paint in the pictures.

Doesn’t need much but it will finish the car off nicely. I can then crack on with paint correction, dressing wheels and plastics plus interior.

Then and only then it will look awesome!
