Ruined by the pov spec spoiler!

I think ruined is a bit strong 😂 I still have the original one safely tucked away! Not like I have stuck a big aero spoiler on it.

Like I said previously it is just a bolt on part like everything else and not something that cannot be reversed. Takes minutes. It will be staying for the moment. I always knew not everyone would agree or like fitment of it, but that is why we are all different. Most people would struggle to even notice it!!!

Bit more done today. Coded the airbag ECU due to fitting of the Recaros. Cleaned and hovered the boot along with fitting parcel shelf. Kenwood stereo fitted. On playing the stereo it sounded pretty good.

Quick look behind the front speaker grills and someone has already fitted uprated speakers, which was a bonus! I think the original front speakers have been fitted in the rear as Cups don't normally have any. I will get some better ones to replace them, but sounds good!

Love your cup! It’s making me want to get mine really really mint!
I need to get the wheels refurbed - what is the colour code for them ?

I also need to find new bullets from somewhere!
Great car though, love it

Thank you. Not sure on the wheel colour code, I have always just got them a bright silver. I must update this thread as I have used it a bit and done a few more little bits. Exhaust system next.

Some of you may have seen my Megane RS 265 has been sold. I was gutted to sell, but has given me a bit of money and time to spend on the Cup!

First up was to sort the exhaust system to something I have always wanted. Full PMS system ordered with sports cat, centre silencer and stealth rear box. Was sent out really quick and fits excellent. They did forget the sports cat, but that was sent the following day so currently has the decat they sent fitted. Very subtle looking, excellent quality and fitment along with a lovely sound. Well chuffed. I really like the split downpipe which makes swapping the cat and decat around so much easier! Some pictures....

I have also fitted a ktec induction kit with blue silicon hose and some mint grey insert xenons. While the bumper was off I cleaned all the front panel before putting it all back together. I will be fitting the Cup spoiler back on too this weekend.

Was dark when I finished so will grab some more pictures at weekend. So pleased with this car and excited to start using it. It is going for mot a week Monday and I will probably hold off using it much as there is so much salt on the roads at the moment.

This looks amazing. I now know what seats I want to put in my Cup. I’ve owned mine since 2014 and always intended to put Recaro Trendlines in there, but these look even better.

I’m considering the Bilsteins too. I think the shocks are a bit tired and wouldn’t mind something a bit firmer in the corners. The standard Cup spring rates are quite soft.

Great work. The exhaust looks awsome. Will be waiting a review on it regarding sound volume and drone on motorway. I am looking to buy a stealth exhaust for my 172 and intend to keep the sport cat and having mid silencer, so it would be like yours.

Had a bit more time on the Cup yesterday. Sports cat turned up in the week so swapped out the decat for it.

I cleaned behind the bumper and front panel. New LED sidelight bulbs and xenon lights then fitted. I was not too sure how they would look being grey insert, but I really like them. You can see the fitted Ktec induction kit. I am going to get either vapor blasted inlet manifold, engine mount and fuel rail cover or some MS Design painted ones at some point along with a new coolant tank.

I have fitted the Cup spoiler back on as it should really be on it. With the Cup spoiler and new exhaust system I think it looks much better from the rear now. Well pleased with it. I will update with how it sounds once I do a proper drive out in it.

Hopefully go for mot this week if I can get a slot. I also picked up a snappy retrimmed steering wheel this morning with the correct colour tab and stitching. It has the Renaultsport badge at the bottom too. Should have time to fit that tomorrow. I have a non-sticky airbag to fit with it at the same time. Almost where I want it now, just a few little jobs left now.

Finally got round to fitting the new steering wheel this morning. I also checked it over for mot. The only thing not working was the hazzard light switch. Swapped it over with a spare one and all good.

Driving to the mot station is the first time I have heard the new exhaust system and induction kit. Sounds absolutely awsome. If it passes not then I should get a chance to take it for a decent drive later to see what noise levels are like on motorway etc.

When I fitted the exhaust system I also removed the PMS anti rattle weights. Will see what it is like without it fitted, but so far does not seem much different.

Gutted to get rid of the Megane, but quite excited to start driving this soon! I will update with pass or fail!!

It passed with no advisories, which was pretty much what I had hoped for with all the new parts! The tester looked at the car and said "do I even need to bother testing this it's so clean" which was nice to hear!!

@Porl I can confirm the PMS kitten works too 🤣 Took for a bit of a hammer on the way back from the test center. The PMS and Ktec induction kit sound absolutely amazing when you open the car up. I am so chuffed with it. Just driving around it is fairly quiet at low revs. Soon as you open it up then it comes alive. Forgot how amazing a good Cup really is. Soon as I tax it will get some better pictures and hope to go out one morning with @Somnambulist for a decent drive and a coffee.

Lovely example. Every time I see these threads it makes we want to get a second set of Turinis to put on. Car looks mint mate - well done

Well I said it was a keeper..............until I was offered back my old 2004 registration Iceberg 172 Cup! It has gone to a very good home! I shall let the new owner update the thread. There are some stunning pictures of the car.

I did get some use from the car prior to selling and it certainly did not disappoint. Definitely the best Cup I have owned cosmetically and mechanically. I will update with pictures and details of the new Cup!

I'd been trying to wear Mark down to sell me this car ever since he bought it. He finally conceded and I couldn't be happier with it – you always know with Mark that you're getting an honest car and his preparation is exceptional.

Unless you have threads like this, it's almost impossible to know what state the sills are in underneath the side skirts and what's lurking underneath the wheel arch liners. Knowing how good this car was I just had to buy it. Low miles, excellent honest condition for its age and a great OEM+ spec – what more could you want?

Just like Mark had originally planned, I intend for this to be a keeper. It's 1*2 No.4 and Renaultsport No.8 for me, which I'll run alongside my Megane 275 Cup-S.

Thanks Mark!

Thanks! As does RB and Liquid Yellow, I've had both of those too. If you bought your 182 Cup off Mark, then it's likely my old one 😆
Mine came from bca nearly 4 years ago completely standard was a Stephen james bmw part exchange had 2 owners and 80k on it. Had 7 clios and 2 megs now.
