I was going to say in 2023 that was released so 100000%. Sam and I did a test with the phone I had at the time in 2019 walking back to our hotel on holiday where we kept talking about burberry
Then when we got back to our apartment we kept getting advertisements for burberry clothes on Instagram.
You can't avoid it entirely but you can take steps to meaningfully limit your exposure. The fewer companies have your data, the safer you are in the event of the inevitable data breach.
You can't live without exposing yourself to bacteria in the air and on everything you touch, but you still wash your hands after a s**t.

@cs_rich says, you can take steps to protect yourself. Using VPNs, privacy based browsers. You could setup a piehole, build your own router, go through any privacy settings and permissions on your device. Use an email provider like Proton and move away from Apple/Googles apps.
I'm not someone that lives completely off the grid, It would be difficult in my line of work, but I'm just making people aware of the things that are going on and they can make their own choices.
One of the LG TV terms I found particularly crazy, you are consenting to anyone near the TV being recorded. Thats children, friends, guests. What are you supposed to do? Let your mates know before they come in that the conversation is being recorded lol

Too many
I recently picked up a QLED 4K 50" Hisense TV for under £300 (I can't remember the exact price but was something like £270) and it's spot on. Was under £80 for a matching soundbar and wireless sub too, amazing value.
I wasn't talking about the TV in fairness, I just thought you were sounding a bit mental with a smart phone in your pocket, you want all the things, then you have to give up something for it. Always always comes back to data. Data equals ads = money. It's always always money!

It's about managing that risk though.
That's why when I'm knocking one out in the living room I always play Disney songs in the background. That way LG can't resell the footage without getting fucked over on copyright.
