Noooo, My baby!!

My dci went into the garage about a fortnight ago now,

Garage just foned up telling me that it needs a new engine :dapprove:

Shes a 53 plate with 62k on the clock,

Only bought it in June and came with 3 months warantee,

What a waste of 5 grand.

Engineer having a look at it tomoro to see if it was having any troubles before i bought it on 52k,

Hopefully there was or i dont think there is anything i can do...

Well the other day i went to my mates,

then wen i got back in it at 11 i tried to start it and it just wouldnt start,

now supposingly according to the garage theres something rong with the piston heads,

Not really got a clue on cars either but its my uncles best mate so he woodnt try rinsing us!

Sooo annoying,

Dad using his car all this week aswell so wont insure me on his focus for a lil run around!!

Nope,

Its bn having trouble starting for a while,

but wen i took it back to place we bought it from they sed there was no fault (Obviously f'in not)

From what i heard diesels were supposed to last a while,

Especially one that was only 3 years old last month,

I honestly think the milage has been turned back as it was only the one owner ...

Actually yeh there has been,

There was a picture of a spring that lighted up orange,

And then sometimes the one to the right of it would flash (pic of engine saying stop inside)

Did it turn over and crank or just nothing?

Whats the wear like on the gearstick/drivers seat and steering wheel?

Any more details if your got a hole in the piston sounds like the injecotors aren't the orignal and somone bodged second hand ones on and hasn't programmed the ECU or the injectors got a leak and with the pressure these things run at its fatal it will blow a hole back in the piston. Maybe someone ran a tunning box on it which was to extreme pushing the injection window to big and far forward.

Might indicate TDC problems ani indiaction its been bodge or fixed etc in this area.
They can be trouble like any car if the dci has aproblem its a pain to fix as the CUper and high pressure lines mean its Renault only (or a well equipt Clip dealer) and expensive fixes.

Mines been fine on 79k or so and its been hammered.

Somehting sounds realy badly wrong there the Stop engine light means just what its says you might have had a failing theorstat and the engine had been overheating.

The coil light means the pre heater element is on only happen when its cold or starting you might have had a faulty temperature sensor the engine kept thinking it was hot hence the Stop light then Cold hence the coil light leading to the injectors being adjusted.
