Standard 172 tyres suck ass - contisport contact

I can get the wheels to spin in second easily, the wheels lock up easy when braking, and understeer round every corner.
Only got these as i put two brand new alloys on front.

Cant wait till i get back to PE2s.

Running toyo's at the moment, noisy, but quite like em in the dry, lots of feel. Understeer like buggery in the wet though.

Gonna try pe2's come change time i think.

I am thinking of t1r 205/40/16 or 215/40/16 as they are dirt cheap compared to pe2s.

COntis are superb on the car they do get less grippy as the tread level falls.

There a better ttyre that 90% of what most peole fit. The car was designed for them.

These tyres are about 400 miles old now. Understeer is good fun, but PE2s are much better imo.

sorry i have no problems with my conti's , shouldn't lock up either (abs) the rest is down to the way you drive , though as when the tread is low they do tend to be sh1t

My Pe2s are long gone now, gone through some dunlop sport, now on contisport.

ye not too bad fella , i got a noying rattle under car but i only get it on certain slopes , i`ll find out what it is one day,

try some less aggressive driving maybe yer tyres will last a bit longer aitn u had them goodyear ones

Yeh maybe i should slow down. Had a nice little blast chasing a bike yesterday, every corner/roundabout/bend the tyres were screaming.

I've changed my mind, they arent brilliant, but understeer is fun and not totally uncontrolable. They squeel quite nicely at 90.

I think the lack of grip makes them fun and the car feels less twitchy at rear. I actually try to get the back to break free, its difficult.

Personal opinion but there often called ditch finders the 539 for a reason.

contis are good for a few thousand, then sh!t, then goodish again.

mine use to squeel a lot but i liked them. the pe2's are good though although can melt on track.

Like Avon ZV3!. i've had conti and they wernt as good in the wet.
