car i bought has shite brakes

Has pagid fast road pads and some discs from bb performance tuning. They are shite! Pedal is rock solid due to braided hoses. Could it be anything else affecting the braking?

could be glazed. my pagid ones glazed over, and im sure i bedded them in correctly.

they are supposed to have plenty left. They did seem to bite a bit more after a bit of use. May be they have never been bedded in properly like i did for my ds2500s.

nice idea.lol. might do that when i get to my moms tomorrow, I really need the brakes. On my 172 that are so sharp!

Could be ur Master Cylinder if im correct, check ur Brake Fluid if its low hen im 99.9% sure it the Cylinder. Sounds like the same problem i had on the Peugeot 306. i went through about 4 bottles of Brake fluid in a period of a month not good. !

pending on the car they cost about £200 ish but fitting it can be a right pain

Drive the car hard...They'll come good. My 4pots don't work when cold!.

If they hadn't been "bedded" in then you can do it now. Its not something you only do once and never again. The whole pointof the so called bedding in process is to:

- Remove a thing layer of the pad
- Heat the pad up to an extent that it bakes out the binding chemicals
- Put a layer of pad compound onto the disc

Its recommended you do it more than just once! Especially before track days.

There for you could give the car 11 60-0's, 10 70-0's and 9 80-0's. Thats what i do to my pagids and i have never had any problems with them even when cold.
