Oh ok then, thanks for that. i thought the Dephaser ran off oil pressure similar to the Honda K20/K22 engines.

its activated by oil pressure but the solenoid just opens and closes a valve to allow it to pressurise the dephaser

actually work in a jag specialist garage, renaults are just my thing if you like.

heres a little update.
iv so far perfected all foeward gears 1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th

.......but so far no reverse lol. :S
little trish should sort it.

Mate....a bigger fuel pump wont cause overfuelling - after all it only provides enough fuel as the regulator allows!!

Good to hear its nearly there though mate.....expect to see some sideways action soon! LOL :evil:

im not using 172 pump/reg setup.

regulator is on retern side of rail.
same as k-tec use on there turbo setup.

needs to run to regulate.
prob going to fit a vw golf inline pump.i think it has to be vari voltage pump?!?

going to have clutch this weekend!
then just need brakes!

Still wont cause it to overfuel at idle unless your injectors are stuck open? Is your MAP sensor conected up ok? maybe the ECU isnt seeing the vac and running on the 100kp section of the map?

it was not even trying to start b4 as fuel made plugs wet before they had a chance.
anyhow it works now so what the hey!
clutch this weekend!
then just brakes!(needed)lol
as for insurance i have none atm as its off the road!.

You can still insure a car Fire and Theft only - it's cheap! Sort it out!

yh turned out to be a stupid loose wire on ecu connection pluss the plugs were clogged right up!
overfueling.
going to go adaptronic standalone ecu later.

found out half my running problems was down to the fuel pump!
iv now ordered a 12mm inlet 8mm outlet facet high pressure(fuel injection pump lol)not a redtop facet for carberretors!
also had to get my swirl pot fabricated with a 12mm outlet!
will still run crap because of the map tho.
