197 Trackday Pics - Anglesey 25th Oct (BIG Pics)

  RS 200
These are yesterdays pictures from my trackday at the Anglesey coastal circuit. The weather was crap, rainy and about 40mph winds but the Clio was perfect. Despite the conditions the clio gripped well, alot better than I was expecting. The rear wheel cars were strugling, with several spinning infront of me and several letting me past. This can also be said for the £50,000 motors that were there, they had power on the straights but were rubbish in the corners. Love this car even more now :approve:

hi mate, i was there as well.

i was in the 182 with the black steelies, i went along with a few other mates ( the other 182 in blue, pug 306 rallye, 106gti, lotus elise, 205 dimma)

yeah the weather was horrible, it played into our hands really with the fwd cars i should have left my 16inch michelins on really but decided to try my 15's the new rubber wasnt really suited to the standing water.

good fun hounding the bigger rwd motors. nice pics will look at mine when go online soon.

No way, wish I'd said hello now !!

I was there with my mate, who was also my IAM oberserver, he was in the maroon TVR and was struggling. I took him out in the Clio and he saw just how much more grip there was in the corners. I was chuffed with the car, wasnt totally pushing it, but it performed great in the conditions!

Those two Pugs, the 306 and 106 were fast, fair play had to let them through. Saw them approaching in the mirror and jumped out of the way !!:approve:

Been a couple of times as a passenger and it is a good track for small cc engines.

Has the track changed since the re-jig?

Also, have they sorted out the gravel entry which was bloody aweful.

was a good day, just about to have a look for my pics.

i was behind the tvr for a few laps he was struggling to get the power down he let me past on the entry to church after the bookatrack bend it took some guts driving something like that in those conditions.
