acid etched the slam panel and filler primered to make it nice n smooth , needs a little work still tho

dammit spent all last night stripping my porsche door handles where the paint wouldnt dry :s

cleaned up and primered inner wings
have left the original underseal on, just cleaned them all up, removed any crap and treated any bare metal with zinc to stop any corrosion

after a couple of layers of work

and more

Also where the battry tray had been id made a right mess, first time id ever used an angle grinder what can i say so needed bogging and smoothing

happy with that, bit more to do tho

Sill repair pannel all ready to be welded in
again another thing im chuffed with its been a right pain

trial fitting carbs and manifold... got a bit giddy at this point lol

They are based near me. Its an odd odd place. Basically an old run down shed. The old boy there is a legend with carbs.

engine n ger box all striped and painted... gearbox went a bit funny tho, not sure why

Porsche handles primered and being painted

passenger side recess removed (wont mean anything to anyone that doenst know mk1s lol)

Having striped a mk1 now i souldnt want alot of power in one haha,

1.3 gt engine on carbs should make good power and be pretty brisk in a mk1........
coming along nicely, ever need an extra pair on hands let be know ;-)
