No drop links on my Clio? pic included...

Car  172DD Cup
never seen a car without drop links, all i could find was this penis sized bush linking the anti-roll bar to what i assume is the lower wishbone. are these bushes the closest i'm gonna get to a drop link on a clio, and is it a good idea to swap these out if car is a little skittish on uneven road?

er, anyone know what this is in the second picture:

it's a good setup IMO. No play in the drop links and no room for off-axis bending of the roll bar. The roll bar is linked directly to the wishbone.
Those bushes can be replaced with powerflex ones. I have a set spare if you feel the need. PM me if you want em

good point. i haven't taken anything out, didn't cotton on it was missing either. something else to put on the list for my next trip to the scrappy. i see you're in hook, i'm just down the road in farnborough.

thanks, i'll come back to you on the powerflex's. i think i need to do the clio lower gearbox mount first (see other recent thread)

The 2nd pick is a small brace style bar, forget that.

As Markone said its a good setup, less movement than drop links

There's a flap on the front arch liner that attaches to bit you circled in that pic, 45 quid from Renault.

Wouldn't bother uprating the arb bushes. The powerflex dogbone mount bushes are 30 quid from Kam Racing.

yeah i've seen that price at kam racing. good price. i was referring to this mount though directly under the gearbox. looks shafted but i can't find any pics of what it SHOULD look like.

Is that an ABS ring in the top pic, on a Cup 172 (is the car a Silver Cup, they came with ABS?)

No need for drop links.

The second pic is a bracket to support the subframe and as explained it holds the archliner.

Also, the lower mount looks fine to me.
