New suspension, the Cup's got stance...

Well sort of, looks better than it has done for the last 125k miles anyway.

A broken spring discovered while having the cambelt/dephaser done necessitated the change, so on a budget went for Eibach Sportlines on the standard dampers. Still sits high but seems to have dropped the front more than the back. Feels great, primary ride much improved, haven't loaded it up yet though as the roads are still damp/covered in s**t. Roll on the spring :approve:

They are a very very good spring. I ran them on my old cup back in 2004. Imo the best spring for them, add to that some Koni's and i think it would be a cracking set up.

They'll settle a lot lower than that mate.

I'm still shocked every time I see a cup on standard springs, they look ridiculous!

This is mine on sportlines, as said, great spring.

That pistonheads one looks okay, as does others I've seen, must be the 15" OZ's that make it look higher.

That's my car. Lol. That's the picture from the advert, just shows the height and stance better than any others I have.

Fook me the first pic looks like it's got hydraulics cos it's so high! Even the second pic doesn't look that low considering the springs change....

original wheels look the best...

Agreed, but 15 inch track rubber is so much cheaper.

Thanks for the comments, I know it still looks high and that it looked ridiculous before the change, but that's the only downside from stripping 117kgs out of it.

Regardless, it handled fine on track before, and from impressions received so far, I think it'll be just fine when I finally get it out again.

What've you stripped out to get that weight loss?

I loved the sportlines on my ph1 172, sharpened up the handling a lot imo. Seemed to reduce the body roll a lot so gave more confidence if nothing else.
