IF it's as described then yeah, although the cars up north (to me, this is north) seem to be cheaper than those down south, so you may find better deals.
But, from the vast number of 172's i've been looking at lately, thats a decent price. Turn up with the cash in your hand and you may knock them down a bit more, but it's got all the important stuff - full service history, inc timing belt, long mot, and decent amount of tax. If the car is in good nick, and you like it, then go for it.

Cheers for the info mate, yeah seems a big IF really. Going to take a good look at it tomorrow morning. Is there anything that sticks out to you or should need double checking? I have read the guide on here.

I hope to god that the strips are not painted on!!

As said if it's as he describes then all is good but looking at the photos he couldn't be bothered to wash it for the advert photos so I'd be a little sceptical without seeing all receipts and done by a specialist on the belts etc

Yeah I did think that, he said he took it in part ex for a Golf GT. Need to see the receipts for the belts otherwise I could push for at at least 400 off! Looking towards £2500 anyways

worth a try, there r bargins to b had in todays mkt, so no point paying the askin price if you dont have toooooooooooooooooooo
