[PC/XB360/PS3] The Elder Scrolls V : Skyrim

  TT 225+
I just married that wench from riverwood. Might have to go and impale her on my flawless skyforge steel greatsword (literally) and go find this muiri b**ch.

Speaking of stats, my total time spent sleeping is 7 hours. LOL.

On Fallout 3 I was always sleeping to recover etc.

I've "waited" for over 1500 hours.

Lv37 with my new guy and going for a complete set of everything with this one.

I closed some doors on my first play through, so I'll cover those this time.

I have a mate who's Lv67, since he's only ever used the one character. lol.

No point sleeping with werewolf blood IIRC. That reminds me. I'm gonna find a sleepy village later and slash everyone to bits. Turn back to human and raid all the gold?

Same Cookie, I just hate the fact that it needs to be in 3rd person.

I'm level 46 with my character. Credit to you for starting again and then progressing so quickly, but I don't think I could manage it all over again.

Yeah, I've got to that level in less than twenty hours this time. No messing around, just harvesting XP wherever I can.

Also maxed out Sneak, Archery, One-Handed, Speech and Smithing.

I've still got my old save file but I think I'll save over it and use this new guy as my main once I get to the same level.

I too am trying to stay away from the magic side - hitting things with the mase of molag bal is my fave - though a blast of fire from the other hand does come in handy - followed by a FOOOOS off a hill/cliff etc - did that to a walrus last night for lol's. level 22 now, so slowly getting there, done a bit more of the companions missions - helping matey out at the start of the missions (where you see him turn into a werewolf for the first time and f**k 5 bad guys up) was a tough one! Those chaps are pretty hard, though i found i had a spell that conjoured up some black floaty thing which kicked the f**k out of most of them, then that staff with the rose on it that conjoured up that big guy for 60 secs (Get me with all the technical talk - f**k yea) who sorted that out. Thouhg the tomb bit at the end, those f**king skeletons just kept coming and coming! Had to FOOOS the lot of 'em.

Dragon Shouts mate. Have a look at your magic tab, you find different shouts in caves and dungeons. When you next kill a dragon you will absorb it's soul and then you can use the soul to unlock a shout you've earned.

Whatevz.

I'll try them tonight, maybe. I just like wondering about and stealing things, lol. Easily amused.

It's not that I want to ignore it, but don't want to get so far that it's over - like what happened in Fallout 3. But yeah, I've got to the first city (can't remember what it's called) and that's where I started f**king around by myself, lol.

Speaking as a seasoned RPG geek here.... It's generally advisable to do a few of the main storyline missions fairly near to the beginning. You tend to get some handy stuff. For example in Skyrim you get some shouts which are pretty much essential. In Oblivion you got given a horse which was fuckin handy near the beginning when money is tight. IIRC you also got a house through the main storyline. Once you've battered the first few missions and gotten some cool stuff then forget about em and go and do your own thing. Of course the beauty of Skyrim is that you don't HAVE to do anything. However doing some things will make your (virtual) life easier.

My dude is now rocking a full set of legendary Dragon Scale armour. Coupled with my Daedric bow I'm a bit of a badass. Maxed out archery and smithing and close to max sneak. Though I did just meet a Dragon Priest type dude who had all three words of the FOOS shout. c**t launched me across the room! Made me jump that. Luckily I had some ghost type geez helping me out so he distracted him while I slowly picked myself up.

They're the best faction. And you get the best-looking armour with them too.

Head to Riften and speak with Brynyolf in the market square.

If you're the sneaky type, that Dragon Armour won't be doing you any favours.

Do some Thieves' Guild quests!

It's the dragon scale armour rather than the dragon bone stuff so I don't think it's affected - It's still counted as "light" armour. I have the guild/guild master/nightingale armour but don't use it much these days.

The only major quest line I've not at least dabbled in is the Dark Brotherhood. How do I initiate that?

you have to go to a house (cant remember the name - someone will be along shortly who will remember) break in, speak to the kid (who thinks you are from the dark brotherhood) then go and kill the teacher of his orfanage, go back, tell him, then wait a few days and go to sleep - you will wake up in a shack in the middle of nowhere and thats it started :)

Just started the Thieves Guild and also recruited Marcurio as I'm only level 8 and get whooped fairly easily sometimes. Enchanted my first weapon, a bow which seems to be quite handy, so I'm ditching handed weapons for now and will swap between magic and archery.

I decided to travel from Whiterun to Riften without fast travelling and encountered my first dragon. He tore me a new one so I ran like a girl to some nearby giants who did the job for me so I got the soul. Finally activated a new shout, the fire breath one. Real design fault you can't attack on your horse.

lol how is that a spoiler? he asked how you join the Assasins, that is a simple explanantion - there is plenty more detail i could have given to be a spoiler, including what you have to do after, but all iv done is given basic instructions on how to join :)

Ah yeah, Dragonscale is classed as light.

Head to Windhelm to initiate the DB quests. Walk around until you find locals talking about a young boy practicing the Dark Sacrament. South-east quarter of the city.
