Bye bye yozza

I finally had enough of my yozza race system on the cup yesterday and swapped it over for the power flow system that was originally on the car when I bought it.

The yozza is a beautifully made exhaust and still looks as good as new but was just so LOUD! I've had a number of custom exhausts on clios but nothing compares to this one for sheer volume in the cabin when driving!

I've left the decat on the power flow and this has given it a little bit more rasp but is still quiet when driving. I can even have a conversation with our lass without having to shout and makes the car feel more user friendly.

The yozza sounds class but i think it's a sign of me getting old that I had to change it. No more rolling out of the street on tick over for me to avoid neighbour complaints. I used to like the attention a loud exhaust brought but not anymore!

100% agree with you mate, I had my race on with the cat still in place and it did my head in, great if its a weekend/track toy but for any kind of motorway driving you just end up looking like an idiot

Same for me had a yozza decat for about 8 months, they sound awesome but are just to dam loud,I have a Milltek now much better.

I'm planning on getting an exhaust for my 182, but I def do not want a LOUD exhaust (The Yozza will be too loud after reading this)

Out of the Milltek and Powerflow which would be better for me?

There is a group buy on a Scorpion 192 (one of the quieter ones apparently) at the moment, £300 delivered to your door.
That's what I would go for if I was after a value stainless system.
Powerflow are custom made and that will depend on the fabricator - some are very good, others are shocking.

My Clio exhausts too loud as well. Will buy one off Fred when he does his if he says its gonna be quiet. First thing I did when I got mine was take off the Decat and put a sport cat in there... that was a Yozza. Not sure what systems on my current Clio actually! Same Sportcats on there though

I would go for a Milltek quiet but great sounding, some people may say the build quality isn't the greatest but they have probably never owned one,I have had 4 Milltek systems on various cars never had a problem.

I've had my Milltek on for about 18 months now and I've had no problems. I love it.

Had mine with a decat on the road and it was noisy but I was only using on the road to get to the track. On track nothing sounds better and you get good comments from others about the noise on the pit drive bye.

Going to be using it with a turbo setup soon so we'll see how it sounds with that.

Loud, fine on a track car (maybe) but for day to day, no need, at all :(

i'd be sideways into the car park on the rev limiter followed by a backwards glide into my parking space, slam the door like a boss and shout "morning bitches!"

they can't prove 'nuffing! ;)

I saw a yozza exhaust ata meet once and yes it looked well made/blah blah but ffs, you're driving a Clio with 160bhp. Why are you trying to make it sound like a Racing car??

Its a rEdiculous exhaust.

its like a gay club in here! Man up you poofs (they are a bit loud on a day to day :o)

like.webp

I understand that, but 9 times out of ten (on here certainly!) they never see the track. They get parked on mummy's driveway and detailed with moose liver pate and rubbed with ox leather before being driven to B&Q for a night shift.

I just can't get my head round it.

You know how you've worn the same pair of boots for the past 12years................................................

Raging bunch of homosexuals in this thread!

Although I do agree with Dan, 99% of cars on here that look like or designed to go on track don't, they just cleaned cleaned weekly with stupidly expensive polish. Do a Trackday FFS, could probably do one a month with the amount they spend on fancy polish!

Like a boss....., you are the boss ;)

Meh, one local to me sounds horrific, decatted I think, but christ!

Not heard one decatted yet in person. Only seen videos on YouTube. It's all down to how you drive too I guess. I just tootle about until the roads dry up anyway ;-)
