The guys that have played it have said it's definitely an improvement which you need to play to see properly. There's loads of demo feeds and videos from shows on the net now out of interest. It does look good.

b****cks that won't be the cover.

It will Messi on his own.

I would like to see Messi & Ronaldo head to head on the cover sort of Messi Vs Ronaldo scene.

Every country/group of countries has a different cover, Messi plus one or two other players.

One of my main gripes with Fifa adverts:

There is always so much emphasis on being able to score amazing goals and perform amazing tricks with players like Messi in these games, but I very rarely play as any of the top teams, so knowing that Messi can beat every player on the pitch doesn't do much for me!

A lot of the guys who play Fifa want a decent football game with an arcade element. It appears the majority of the players on many of the Fifa or PES boards want more of a simulation of football rather than a pick-up-and-play experience. It just so happens that EA seem to prefer pandering to the former's needs.

I don't mind. I love playing Fifa regardless of it's showing off abilities. I'll still purchase regardless and I play offline usually so as long as that's been improved from last year I'm happy. I can play it how I want then - fancy tricks and flicks included or excluded, depending on mood.

With that in mind, I still think we're a good few years off a football game being released that is purely simulation.

I love the tricks. If I can't showboat then I don't want to play

Same here, but then I love doing that sh*t in real life too.

You should see the comments on some of the FIFA boards off folk who think the tricks and skills should be removed completely so it's more a simulation and not an arcade experience. No wonder EA go along with what they think will work. Credit to them.

The only issue I have with FIFA is that the players tend to look like they're on ice. There's little to no inertia or momentum when turning or stopping from pace. PES seems to have got the weights right with the players and how they move around on the field. It's weird because EA have now put this in place with both Madden13 and NHL13. Strange how FIFA has missed out this year. Still, looks and plays well and I've already pre-ordered with Amazon.

I think it tends to be kids that over-use the tricks and do it for the sake of it. I only do it to crap people to gloat. Lol.

whats the Ultimate edition all about?

Free packs for Ultimate Team.

I see what you mean, I guess I want a more realistic game that is comparable to 'real' football.

Fifa, imo, has never been messy or rough enough to replicate real football; mistakes by players, heavy tackles etc., but I suppose that would make for frustrating gameplay and isn't PC.

That gomez goal was awesome. I love fifa.

Cannot wait for this, and I'm excited for the demo tomorrow! 28th of September is my Christmas :)

I play career mode 99% of the time, ususally with a mid-tabled team like Swansea who's style of play I love.

I must have used skill about 3 times in the last year, with 2 of them being accidents!
