Daniel's 182 FF from The Netherlands

Car  182 & 172 Tracktool
Hey Guys,
I've been looking on here for a while now but figured it was about time to introduce myself and post something!
I'm Daniel and living in The Netherlands. After driving a phase2 1.6 (with some minor modifications) for nearly a year I came
across a RS 182 FF in mint condition that was for sale in the UK.

So, last weekend I hopped over to the UK, picked up the car and drove it back home. The car is still on English registration plates, but will
have Dutch license plates soon (still waiting for the Export documents from the DVLA). Car is in excellent (original) condition and is equipped with both cup packs.

Gave it a quick clean for some pics:

My future plans are:
-Another headunit
-Original Renault Sport mats
-Miltek/Yozzasport exhaust (decat)
-Remap
-Inductionkit
-Some carbon parts
-Silvatec & LED bulbs
-Tow eye
-Detailing
-Maybe some Turini's or Superturismo's

Hope to learn lots more on this forum!
Thanks for looking,

Cheers, Daniel.

Welcome Daniel!

Did you not fancy finding one in Left hand Drive?

182's are quite rare overhere, so there not much choice when looking for a secondhand one.
I could get this one for a good price considering the condition of it, so wasn't really bothered having a rhd. You get used to it quickly actually.

Swapped the Cabasse headunit for a Kenwood BT47SD with external microphone today.
Wireless iPhone connection and handsfree calling, much better:approve:
I also replaced the scruffy mats for some new genuine Renault Sport mats that I ordered at the local dealer earlier this week.
Got a ring that they where in, so I picked them up and put them in immediately!

That's it for now...
Comments and suggestions are always welcome:)

Thanks guys! I've already got a set of Superturismo's as they came off my other Clio.
Doubting to leave them silver or to let them be coated in either dark grey or black...

Hi Daniel nice ride !
Just out of curiousity what is the reason of getting a car like this abroad ?
What is the total price you have spend on getting this car on the road here (thinking about doing the same one time).

Suck a long one mate, and that will be irrelevant wednesday because I won't have those wheels on the car... But anyone with sense knows that the superturismo's are a lot better looking than turini's

On a V6 maybe, Turinis for a 182, but then I'm biased.

Welcome along Daniel, car looks fresh!

Superturismo's look pony on 1*2's. Superleggera's however look awesome.

As the standard wheels can do with some new tires and a light refurb (previous owner hit some curbs), I fitted my superturismo's for
the time being. Originals will be repaired and coated in the same grey or maybe a bit darker. I also fitted some euro headlights and
had the car registered in Holland today, so will have the new registration plates soon.
Set of lowering springs are on their way, think they will give the car just the right stance!

This weekend I will be heading off to England again for a week, so will travel down to K-Tec when I've got time for some bits!

Didn't manage to clean the car/wheels for the pic, sh*tty weather overhere!

Installed the induction-kit about 2 weeks ago. Easy to fit and the sound is just
brilliant! The guys at Ktec did a great job on this one. I also fitted some flatblade wipers
and got the new plates on. Haven't had time to lower the car yet, will do that tomorrow.

So, lowered the car today. It's sitting on Apex 40/40mm springs atm.
I think it has the right hight now, don't want to go lower as the speed bumps
here are a real pain in the *ss. This already looks much better!
Also put some Philips SilverVision's in the rear lights, small detail.
Will take the car out tomorrow as it was getting to dark for some good pics.

The place where the magic happens, work on the car here:)
