It benefits from the Q2 diff already and has a few nice options like xenon's, heated seats, dual climate control, Blue/Black leather, Bose sound system etc.

First impression are simple - EPIC! Love the noise, love the performance, love the character the car has. OEM Suspension is abit bouncy castle soft mind! Managed a decent 28mpg cruising at 90 on the way home today from picking it up.

Going to be a great project as a few things need tidying up, I.e wheels need refurb and exhaust needs changing Etc - So im really looking forward it!

Cheers.

Cheers guys. Yea the colour wasn't my first choice but the price/spec won me over.

Reliability issue is blown way out of proportion IMO. I can't see it being much worse than the Clio's as they arnt the most reliable.. But I guess only time will tell as it's our daily hack!

And yes, it certainly is abit of a animal lol.

As said, reliability isn't that big an issue with them. My Uncle had one and it was fine - typical of people just hearing a few horror stories and making a huge deal about it.

Drove my Uncle's too, looooovely car. Epic. Nice purchase.

For people who haven't read my responses on alfas, I've had 2 gta's and both have been faultless and epic purchases, keep servicing up and q2 fitted then mechanically there's not much else that fails..

Always liked these! is the Q2 diff a factory option or something people get fitted themselves?

It's a LSD Alfa bought out for a couple of cars such as 147 "q2" and many retro fit as standard diffs are made of chocolate but also transforms cars cornering characteristics.

If you get problems with the electrics, just trade it in and walk away.

I watched my friend pour over £3k into his until he gave up.

Yea I looked at the white one but it doesn't have the Q2 and isn't FSH which put me right off. This one I bought is fully documented to back everything up, only 65k on the clock too.

fingers crossed its a smooth & enjoyable ownership!

I'd start collecting lucky charms. Lovely car though.

Vee

  Mk2 V6 #007
I was torn between one of these and a vee for a seriously long time.

Trying to find one that ticked all my boxes didn't happen though and I fell into the trap of starting to believe the horror stories. My dad had an faultless RX8 for years, so i know what you mean about not believing everyhting you hear about certain makes/models. Witnessing my mates pain when the sun was shining and he was having to call the AA for his broken down TVR made my mind up though lol

I had my heart set on an Auto Delta one, but not being able to find one for love nor money pushed me towards the vee. There are some seriously odd (IMO) colour combinations in the GTA's :S was never a fan if the teledial alloys either, silver definately pulls them off the best though. Enjoy!

What exhaust are you thinking of going for? Wizard's exhausts are tempting, for the workmanship alone if not the incredible noise!

  Williams 2
Love it, gorgeous car.

I was thinking about getting one of these before I got my Golf but I've already got a williams that loves money being spent on it and I didn't fancy having 2 diva's! ;)

The more I see these the more I want one!

I saw it on there the other day mate, not on there now though. Just one for £9,500 which I think has been on there for a while.

i believe that one is actually silver justo old white in pics.. The one at Ron hodgsons? It's been there for 3 years and have dropped the price but still overpriced

Take it up to Meercat dude! His new fancy baffle systems would suit something like this perfectly.

Car looks awesome, suits silver well!

How long until your back in a Clio? ;)

Brilliant , we have a boggo 147 1.6 and apart from a few electrical gremlins its a workhorse. Would love a red GTA :)

Yea I didn't post a pic of engine bay as il be doing before and after pics this weekend as its in need of a proper detail which il be doing this weekend!

good idea Ben, were they at?

I'm debating what to do with the wheels.. I want to try and make the most of the OEM wheels, I.e Refurb either (Bright silver or anthracite or even possibly black - i cant decide), spacers and lower it so they fit & fill the arches better.

Cheers.
