You mad man, love it

A crack habit would be cheaper than owning this but i might aswell send it. See if my own engine build will make the numbers.

There's the new Gen 2 G series now too.

Do a G25-700.

350-700bhp range.

Cheers mate ill have a look. I think 400hp will be the sweet spot on the street but be nice to have an efficient setup to make good numbers on high boost.

It's a f**king riot with a standard turbo... Let alone a Garrett 😂

Honestly needs no more power but ill send it regardless  Cant wait to see what it goes like on a g series setup.

20t hybrid makes all the noise.

Just the right size for 4x rims with no tyres

Used the Kangoo to take my track wheels down to local garage for tyre swap. 4x 18" wheels and 4x 18" tyres is a bit of a squeeze

Updates

Kangoo headlamps were starting to yellow/uv fade on the top. Not the worst but longer you leave it, the harder it is to get them nice again.

Hard to get a pic but on their way at the top.

No wetsanding required, panel wipe, cutting compound / medium pad on da polisher, followed by final polish using finishing pad.

15 mins, done.
20250824_100939.jpg

Used a ceracote trim wipe on them to protect from uv.
20250824_100931.jpg

Whilst the wipe was still wet i done the scuttle panel, as the wipes go quite far if your fast.

From faded grey to black again.

Small improvements.

Updates.

Went to Trax and back in it beginning of the month. No dramas.

Todays job was reprogramming epas. I found out a while back that you can adjust the epas assist on meg2 rs epas on rstuner. Steering is a bit light at speed on the Kangoo and a bit van like so was room for improvement. I made enquiries with Henk to see if a module was possible for the kangoo, but he did not have one for NSK eps ecu so idea was shelved.

Talking to Neil Brooke (Rs independant specialist) yesterday and he said he had seen the same settings on meg epas ecu via Renolink, with settings 1-5 available but unsure what it done. With this in mind i assumed that it might be doable via Renolink on the Kangoo as very similar.

Hooked up Renolink and searched for eps.

Looked in select tuning and found that adjustment was possible, but no idea what mode is what. Its set at 3 originally, and workshop manual flirts around it saying you config it to a certain model but no more info. I assume this is wheel size/engine size specific.

20250928_082144.jpg

With this in mind i plugged Renolink into my Meg r26 to see what that was set at. Noted number 1, steering feels good on it so assume that it is dulled down for weighted feel.

R26, diff menu same flavour.

With this in mind, i took the send it approach and wrote number 1 to the Kangoo. Took it for test drive and noted steering felt great, loads more weighted feel at slower speeds. With this in mind, i tried every setting to see what they done, and number 5 is very light around the streets. Number 3 is middle ground.

Settled at number 2 which feels great. Light enough for easy driving at low speeds, and great at speed giving more confidence.

Ive also seen that you can do what looks to be custom speed settings/assist. I dont think this is needed for me as its light at low speeds/weighted at higher as oem, but means you could dial in a track car or whatever.

A nice little win. Feels more like a megane when driving which is great and a lot more confidence inspiring at speed.

Also handed the arse to a bam 225 audi tt exiting a roundabout, was right up my arse pushing me. Assume it was stock as it went backwards so fast it was comical..the look of shock/wtf happened on the drivers face was class. Sunday drivers eh.

Thanks for reading!!

My old dCi had the cup pack so the steering had variable assistance

At low speeds it was super light and at high speeds it was heavy. It was proper good, deffo worth looking at if you can code it in
Thats the one mate. It seems to work exactly like r26 on setting 2. Massive improvement as it was too van like before with loads of assist.

Forgot to add, went to U pull it on Sat for a bonnet matt for the 250 (ours is fucked for some bizarre reason) and new is NLA.

Sniffing round i found a complete mk3 megane 2.0tce 180. This engine is visually the same as a 250 with diff turbo etc. Anyway i stripped loads of spares off the engine for the price of a drink.

Inlet is to be modified for kangoo, little idea i have in mind.

Got the continental ems3110 ecu. Its a tce but id imagine its very similar to 250 albeit diff software. I reckon i can de immobilise one and sync up to kangoo.

I had a discussion with Chris @ Efi last week regarding ecu upgrade to 250 ems 3110, for vvt etc. We both agreed the ecumaster black that i have in stock would be a better option for more safety and features.

But still as a project, i might see if i can do the immobiliser and sync. If so it would be a cheap way to run vvt and boost control on a meg conversion. Need to find a cheap tool to bench read the ecu and go from there.

U-Pull-It is one of the last places you can go and strip stuff yourself and not have someone in a hi-viz watching over your shoulder when you're stripping something off

They've always been spot on with me and my dad every time we've been. Pulled the head off a MK4 Astra once and the bloke on the checkout was amazed that it was done so fast and nothing has been taken off with a hammer🤣

Agreed u pull it are spot on, yards like that have dissappeared. What turned into a half hour visit ended up being 2 hours of *carefully removing a meg front end (brute force).

I do miss the days of going down the breakers and getting bits for projects but all the good ones near me have closed. Used to be 4 cars high in one and it was sketchy as climbing up to the top. Good buzz when car was rocking all over.

There is a local large jap breakers near me and they had a mk2 meg in so popped down recently. Ive been looking for a qtr panel to cut. I could see the f**king car from the office and asked if he would do me a cut. Only answer i got was no and he didnt say anything else, no explanation was bizarre. Just walked out the door and went at that point.
