Fair do's. Theres not really that much difference between any of the RS clio's at the end of the day. Smart move if the Trophy was'nt being used enough. Let it go to a happier home ;)
Over reading dyno?
210bhp sounds too high as others have said. Would have thought you would need cams to get that high. The raised rev limit (extra 1000rpm) from the Grp N does'nt really gain you any power on standard internals. Fair play if thats a true reading though!
ABS does'nt work on ice mate ;)
I think Loony's hit the nail on the head tbh. Its not that the Cup is inherently more dangerous than other 172/182's, its the type of driver who buy's them. Lets say they tend to have a more exuberant driving style. We all know its the quick one....
Looks like a nice meet. I'm off to Dubai in a couple of weeks, visiting family over Christmas. Heard about the rain - 60% of the annual rainfall in a day I was told!!
Exactly the same happened to me once - only collision with another car I've had. The tit in the Honda CRV which turned into me accused me of speeding too!! (I was. But thats besides the point IMO when he was in the wrong lane to be going right and did'nt even indicate) Did teach me to be extra...
I seriously doubt its the wheels catching on the arches. Its a definately a metalic squeeking noise and it does it when the wheels are straight also.
I've never faded the stock pads. Part of the reason I'm tempted by the Greenstuff's is there supposed to give off less dust and they don't cost...
Had mine done at a Renault dealership and it failed for worn rear tyres. Which was a bit of a c**t as they did'nt have any Conti's (or anything else that fitted) to replace them with!! Ended up supplying my own PE2's. And not having a car for 3 days
Moral of story - get your tyres done...
Oh dear. I've heard thats what happens. Pretty sure my pads are on the way out too :(
But hey, sounds like you got yourself a nice upgrade! I'm thinking of getting Greenstuff pads as replacements
