the main wording is extensively modified, 'rally car' is just used as a generic term.
the fail is 'obviously missing' not 'removed'. sounds daft but that's the way it works on the test. you could also argue there is an airbag fitted, put a sticked on the wheel saying 'airbag' and as long as no...
in theory if you move seat belt mounting points etc away from any corrosion you should be ok 🤔 or do what bmw do and just hide everything behind plastic trim!!
not much really sorry. diagnosing noises without the car generally ends up a guessing game.
have a look for witness marks, check mounts and bushes etc.
ish, need to bend the headers a bit and also cut them back as well.
my lad only did it on the end of a build he was doing as a bit of a favour and to see if it could be done easily/practically or not.
it was part of the test when it got changed but then changed again so as above, pre 2009 not part of the test.
a lot of things when they are 'missing' can't fail test as they can't actually be tested so therefore can't actually fail.
ecu doesn't know if it's blocked so it won't throw a code. works on the resistance of the circuit for fault finding.
for the price if you're having injector issues unless it's a low mileage c\ar you might as well throw a set of new ones in, new lambda at same time as well if you want to push...
Means sod all if they spray on cranking.
Clear codes, check resistance, run car until light pops on, read codes, look at freeze frame data and then hand in pocket and buy new injectors. Not worth messing roumd with used ones that might be ok.
For the price 197 cams are ok value. Can be timed pretty much to group n but will have a rougher idle.
I'd go for standard inlets over tossa/rs2 inlets though as the lack of torque lets them down. You could potentially drop 20lb/ft and on an na that's a huge amount.
Lost count of how many cars I've had mapped on Tesco fuel. It's fine, go for shell though if you want to pay the extra, not that you'll get any benefit from it just the satisfying feeling you've helped boost their astronomical profits!!!
