I just don’t see an F4R cutting it in a car that will be 150-200kg+ heavier than a race/track Clio. Unless you get very happy with the grinder.
Either way it’ll be an epic project and I look forward to its progress
Thanks @Jack1998 , it’s an option but unsure if it’s the right thing for the job.
I’ve removed loads of little bits of foil type tape from holes in the chassis. All of which were painted over by renault. The plan is to tape over the holes again before primer, stonechip, top coat and lacquer is...
Looking to see if anyone has a source or even knows what the tape is called!
mom the Clio chassis there are various holes that are simple covered over with foil tape and over painted from the factory.
anybody know where to get such tape?
I’ll send over a few snaps of the subframe etc when I’m back at the garage midweek.
I hope the brakes fit under ultraleggeras as I’ve 2 sets still in boxes
the PMS AP brake kit is epic, what wheels you trying to fit it under? I’m contemplating swapping to the laguna hubs aswel but undecided as yet

headlight/bumper/bonnet/wing (Basically around the headlight)
wing to bumper

I need the push fitting that goes into the clutch master cylinder but converts it to an AN-4 hose fitting, a bit like the fittings earls do but with the...
With EP3 box and the engine as high as it is in that picture it has a chassis notch (I’ve spoken to him). Although he said they can make it fit with no notch or subframe modification, amazed at how they will manage that tbh
Looking to see who has converted there mk2 clio to a hydraulic clutch.
either when going 02M etc.
in the final stages of an engine conversion and struggling to find a DCI pedal box so looking to see what others solutions people have came up with.
run VAG clocks. Personally i would have shafts made to the lengths required rather than sleeving a renualt outer and VAG inner
your main issue will be chopping the drivers side of the subframe to clear the sump
I was there with a bunch of lads from Scotland who mostly were running in the RWYB class.
2 clios, 2 civics, a focus RS and 2 evos. Was a good day but I felt it was all a bit hap hazard an poorly run.
looks superb (although i just cant get on with the rear bumper), and good to see its still making progress...........all be it slower than suspected! You must be eager to get it finished and in use now with it being so close
I have always found the ones with splines as per the 2 above tend to develop play. Only ever used lifeline splined versions though.
The CBS, NRG Innovations style etc use a series of ball bearings to locate instead of splines. As yet i havent found any issues with the ball bearing type
