Birthday presents from the wife. :)(y)
And I made a fixed camera mount. I always had my camera on the side of the helmet, and this was far from ideal, as I had to adjust it every time I changed the battery, which means helmet on, take a picture, helmet off, look at the picture and repeat...
Maintenance time again. :cautious:
Driving a track car isn't cheap. This is my 3rd set of brake pads already, and my second set of disks (not that they are expensive, but still), and I need another set of tyres, and my cambelt is coming up. The wife isn't going to be happy about this...
I had a bit of hose left from the brake cooling, and as my cold air intake had it's best time (I only had 1 intake left, and that was looking like it could fall apart every second), I decided that I would upgrade this a bit.
The intake diameter is the same, but more smooth, and now I have 2...
I see what you mean. Unless the GAZ coilovers also have the thread inside the strut, I can see why the BC's are wider in that area.
Yes, the track is increased with 12 mm per side. I specifically asked PMS if I should use wider shafts, but they assured me I could use the original ones, and I...
Thanks, I'm not really sure if they are wider. Didn't notice it when I was working on them. Why do you want to know? If it's for the construction, I just bolted the plates on the Laguna struts to get the correct width.
It's not going to be easy to copy this for you, because I used the PMS Roll Centre kit and the PMS strengthening plates to mount the pvc pipe to. Also the splitter helps to keep the flexible pipe from hanging, and the splitter creates the high air pressure zone to feed the intake. The intakes...
As my Ferodo DS1.11 only lasted a year, I wanted to add some more brake cooling. I've basically thought about this since I have the damn car, as there is no real space to get a real air feed behind the discs, because there simply isn't enough room with the wheels on full lock.
Luckily, I have a...
I also have this problem, but only when the engine is warm, and since it's a pure track car, I only have issues with it, when driving from the paddock to the line-up. But I can imagine it being a real issue when driving the car as a daily.
I haven't really looked into this, but I always thought...
Are these the same?
I can buy a set of cams of an F4R-832 engine, but I would like to know if they are the same as the 197 cams to use as an upgrade in the 172 engine.
Not much going on with the Clio with upgrades or maintenance, so just enjoy driving it I suppose. So I went to Zandvoort again yesterday. :p
The car performed really well, and had a blast.
Don't know if it's any use to you, but I did the Laguna hub conversion, and modified them to fit the Clio 172 ABS sensors, as the Laguna ones were different.
I had another great day at Assen today.
The weather was really good, a bit to good inside the car, but I'm not complaining.
Did 4 sessions, the car performed really well. But I wasn't able to get anywhere close to my personal best, even though I had more than a couple of clean laps. I...
I checked both suggestions. Spider pins were moving freely, regreased them. And the brake pads are in the right position in the rear. We'll see how it goes at Assen next Saturday.
