From my experience most French cars are near enough gun finish with a quick de-nib and polish, german cars are quite similar just more laquer, japs like Honda are the worst though for coverage, just enough basecoat to cover and near enough one coat of clearcoat :)
Could someone kindly point out to me the location of the washer jet fuse on the ph1 172, checked the side of the dash but it's not there :( any help appreciated greatly! :)
As most people have said most of it will polish out as it's mainly paint transfer, if it has gone through to the plastic, a decent bodyshop would be able to do half the bumper and fade out into the other half :) please do not use smart repair as they will only make it worse!!
hey sash, yeah its as if the whole dial has just been moved round to the opposite side, the needle moves round when i turn the car on then moves back when i turn it off

went to start my ph1 today and because it dosnt start properly first time, each time i turned the ignition on the fuel needle went up a half a tank until it was pointing the other way???!!
any ideas much appreciated
if they are light scratches like finger nail deep then 600 wet would take them out, but like maxim said if they are kerb guages then they will need filling and sanding with something coarser

looks too deep a dent to be repaired, will most likely be a new tailgate if you go to a decent bodyshop, any bodyshop that say they will repair it is dodgy imo.

for your wheels, if its just to change colour and they dont have any chips/flakes/kerbing etc then red scotch brite will be the easiest to prep them up.
if they do have paint damage then use 600 wet and dry paper. you can paint over anything thats prepped with 600 and higher 800/1000/1200/1500...
