Just bodge it with the sockets, some aftermarket exhausts are too heavy for the mounts so they will inevitably sag.

It'll be obvious if it's burning oil, there will be blue smoke coming out of the exhaust. Get someone to start it up from cold in the morning whilst you stand at the back and take a look, it might only be when it's cold that it's burning it.

All you need for a 1.2 is some Ferodo pads and that's plenty of braking power, don't spend money where it isn't needed.
