Hey Kelv, there is tons (literally!!) of the stuff everywhere - you've just got to do the ones under the carpets and boot floor, plus the scuttle panel (not sure if you meant this when you said bulkhead) now..........
Thanks James, the dust wasn't 1/4 as bad with the Pagid RS4-2's but these PF07's, like you said with the 01's, are so epic that I want to keep them in but just need to address cleaning off the dust/mud! Iron-X seems to be well regarded so will give it a go. Good luck with the Alcons!
Hi James, on a separate note, what do you use to remove your brake dust? These PF07's (I thinkyou have PH01's) create ridiculous amounts of dust which if it's wet dries on literally like mud to the wheels and is also a bugger to get off the paintwork as well. Thanks Mark
What's the latest and best (cost not too important withoutgoing silly) at removing brake dust?
Since I've fitted PF07 pads to my Alcons the brake dust createdis ridiculous and dries on literally like mud to the wheels and is also abugger to get off the paintwork as well. I'm not a detailer so...
The nuts span when I was tightening the bolt, must've gone in at a slight angle or got a spot of something in the threads. The car has only done 24k and the bottom of the floor and boot is literally spotless and I've never even had to clean it, must've just been used in the dry. One job soon...
Ok, thanks, didn't know there were different types of rivnuts. They're M6 so will drill them all out and put M8's in which will have a larger circumference and hopefully therefore more purchase, will get grooved nuts this time. I did think about welding some nuts to the underside but sod's-law...
I've got a firewall cover over my wheel-well that contains a swirl-pot and auxiliary pump & regulator etc, I need to be able to relatively easily remove the cover so using bolts and nuts from underneath the boot floor is not really viable. The cover was originally held down with self-tapping...
I replaced the dashboard loom 3 times in the end because the 1st two were not early PH1 looms (apparently there is a difference between early and late model PH1's!?) and then replaced the engine loom, still the lights appear in the clocks. I've even tried a replacement set of clocks. So its...
As above. I'm no mechanic but could it therefore be something to do with the brake vacuum which actives when the engine is running, perhaps a hose has perished while its been sat??
Sounds like its fluid to me, although you can pop the pads out and lightly take off half a mm with some very fine paper and then re-bed them in. Also 660 is race fluid and needs to be replaced at least once a year, may be worth swapping to 600 and you can just treat it like normal fluid. I use...
I'm sure you'll find one, but if not mines just sitting on a shelf in the garage doing nothing. I wasn't planning on selling it and was/am just going to keep it as a spare but you seemed desperate.
Strange, I've currently got two sets of original 15" Renault OZ's and also previously had another set which I sold and all 3 sets are/were 7J. There are 'aftermarket' OZ F1's which likely could come in 6J but then they obviously wouldn't say Renault on them!? Are you sure they haven't been...
Kelv, apart from the hatch I personally wont be trimming any metal off the other panels without first having a cage inside. Hope it goes well today. Jared I'm useless at posting pictures on here, but truthfully they just look like Aerocatches on a boot.
The catches were easy to fit and trimming the inner-skin shouldn't be too much trouble so no reason not to. Haven't you got some other more pressing jobs to be doing though like your wishbones and beam!?
