I'm pretty sure that the JR units were previously positive displacement units, and now he has sold the company the new JR company uses Rotrex units? The older kits with the PD chargers were good bolt ons, but never made that much real power, shame all our FWD cars just dont have the space to fit...
A positive displacement unit might not be the the best choice for a near stock clio. Whilst generating instant lower rpm boost, their higher end efficiencies are significantly worse than centrifugal units, thus output at higher rpm sufferes severely and you would be stuck trying to decide on...
Trust me, centrifugally charged vtecs are still gutless low down and you still need to beat the pants off them. In some cases they actually produce less torque lower down due to the wide rpm band that the supercharger has to provide for.
Positive displacement chargers (eaton/screw etc)...
Its normal on some cars.
Mostly depends on the amount of air the turbo can process at idle vs the consumption requirement of an idling engine (very small) and the spring pressure in the valve.
If you touch the throttle it should close immediately, not due to boost, but due to reduced...
There is no difference between the megane and willy block when you are running them, using the williams head is however an entirely different prospect.
And for the 10th time, running a megane head with a megane block would be the easiest and simplest solution as they both came out of the...
There is no running difference.
The 714 has a chain driven oil pump setup like the F4R, rather than belt driven like the williams.
I really wouldnt worry about choosing either, personally i'd run the megane head with the megane block just to keep things simple.
It is indeed a megane trophy with the nissan 3.5 v6.
The extra 2 cylinders help it sound like it revving up faster as there are more bangs per revolution, however, they run stock type engines.
Sorry guys, I was meant to collect it friday but I ended up having to stay the night in Leeds at RSTuning to finish off a car.
I should be back up again in leeds next week with the 1.6.
What happens if it makes 200bhp?.........
Spherical bearings would totally eliminate any movement and the engine will pivot around the lateral mount if there is excessive play in any of the remaining mounts.
