Thats what I do.
If your clever you can make an adaptor that will thread in and line up in the tightest available space, but tis far easier to get a peice of braided line made up with a T peice on the end so you can remote locate both sensors a little, its too tight in there otherwise.
You need to find some consistency in your comments. One minute its fine for a basically stock engine to those sort of figures, and now your surprised.
Anyway, Steve has the RR printout, he can do what he wants with it. I didnt do anything to his car previously, so it would be in my interest...
Timing tools.
You'll need the pulley locking tool, the cam locking tool, the crank locking tool, a torque wrench and an angle torque gauge and something to rotate the assembly whilst engine is locked and belt is tensioned.
There is a selection of special tools needed and i would not even attempt the job without a complete understanding of the job at hand and the tools. Get hold of the manual and have a read.

I'm sure i can rustle up a set of collets, a spring and retainer.
That bolt and spring certainly does not drop into the hole lol, and i cant say if its part of the vvt solenoid as i've never taken it apart, but i very much doubt it is.
VVT plunger goes in hole to the far right of that pic, and there is only 1 of them. Those 2 holes are not blocked up.
And i've never taken one apart so i wouldnt know the internals! If it is, you'll need another one of those too.
Doubt you will need a new guide unless its ovalled, but...
