Just booked a ticket and passenger pass for the Saturday. Hopefully someone will be kind enough to take me round for a lap or two?
I've not been to a ClioSport event/meet in about 15 years and this will be a good excuse to give the old girl a bit of a tidy up/clean!
Hi Steve,
How did you get on with this? I need a new brake servo to pass my next MOT and can't source one.
I know that changing it is a horrible job, I changed the master cylinder and that wasn't fun!
Thanks!
Thanks but managed to source one :)
Wasn't able to get a new one in the end, had to get a second hand unit.
I've swapped it over (what a horrible job!) and have also noticed a leak around the rear offside brake caliper. Yet to bleed the brakes but pedal goes to the floor and never goes hard...
Thanks Marc. I went and checked my current MC (got a couple of photos) and it's definitely the short TEVES unit. Just emailed Renault Parts Direct, hopefully they can source one for me as I don't live anywhere near a Renault dealership.
Not looking forward to changing it, looks like a pig of a...
Good afternoon all,
My brake master cylinder has failed and I'm having difficulty sourcing a new one. I've been in contact with some genuine part's suppliers and they can't get one any anymore (part number 7701207754) so I'm a bit stuck (car is off the road now).
It looks like my options are...
Had mine since new, May 2005 so just over 9 years. Plan on keeping it until it dies (especially as I've spent a small fortune on it this year - whole new exhaust system etc)!
Hi Guys,
Have got a 2005 182 Cup with the standard air con (no climate) and over the last 6 months or so the lacquer has been peeling (falling) off the panel where the controls are.
Looks a real mess and wondered what I could do to sort it? The markings for the air con/fan controls etc are...
Toxic Fume Warning Light constantly on
Broken front splitter
Paint/lacquer coming off the aircon unit on the centre console
Paint/lacquer coming off one of the wheel centre caps
Drivers seatbelt slow to rewind
Going to need a new exhaust very soon (still on the original - car is 8 years old)...
Young lady driving a silver 182 with different alloys (not sure which ones).
Seen you a few times normally on the way to work on the Crowmarsh roundabout in the morning and this morning driving past my house as I was backing out of the drive. Are you on here?
Yup that's my one. I've also just finished the iPhone version which has been submitted to Apple but I am waiting for approval before it appears in the App Store. The iPhone version is a lot prettier than the Android version however both apps have planned redesigns/feature additions in the...
Thanks guys, tried both pieces of software and nConvert produced the best quality image at the lowest file size, it was also pretty fast. The quality still isn't as good as when you do it manually but I think I can live with it!
Thanks again!
Which one? I tried the one built into Photoshop (which I thought would be the ultimate but it's cr*p) :(
Yeah the reason is because the files are going to be viewed over Mobile Internet so need to be as small as possible, a 30kb reduction in size is crucial unfortunately :(
If I 'save for web'...
Hi,
I have around 10,000 images that are currently saved on my computer and I want to save them as 'web optimised' to reduce the file size. The image dimensions need to stay the same (they are all the same , however I need to reduce the file size by about half without losing too much quality...
Not tried it out personally but have wrote a couple of Android apps myself (that are now in the market place) using Eclipse and the SDK. Very steep learning curve I must admit as I'm quite new to Java but picked it up quite quickly.
Getting hooked on developing apps and my most popular one...
Re: Shire Horse Pub Meet - Thursday 14th July
I'm on holiday that day but if the meets are going to be on Thursdays in the future then I will come along as I'm in Maidenhead a lot these days.
Just thought I'd update this, turns out it was the bolts that were loose from the downpipe to the cat. The mechanic has tightened them up and all is well but has recommended that I get a new set (come in a kit and are about £20 from Renault).
The car has passed the MOT :)
Thanks for the advice and the link. I'll find out for definite on Weds. My 182 has been trouble free for the last 6 years, seems as though now it's starting to show that it's really French!
Been searching around the forum this weekend and I'm a bit baffled about a noise I have with my 182. It's a 2005 182 with the original standard exhaust if that helps.
When pulling away between 1k - 3k it makes a rattle/raspy sound from where I think the cat is. I think the exhaust is blowing a...
I'm with Admiral and my insurance went down this year by a few quid. Got my renewal through the post today and was expecting it to be about £650ish based on quotes I had been getting online - renewal price was £461 FC with Protected NCB on a 182 so called up and sorted it there and then.
Really...
