Guide to fitting Upper Engine Mount?

Just as easy with the dogbone. Make sure the engine's supported and it's a doddle.

    Engine bolts

That's a weird one. Cambelt failure at some point? Head gasket, although it's unlikely? Renault is the only place I'd by head bolts, tbh. They shouldn't be too expensive.

Guide to fitting Upper Engine Mount?

Take of engine cover. Loosen top bolt. Loosen 4 big bolts. Jack up engine (gently). Swap over. You might need to loosen the upper gearbox mount, as mine was off when I changed it over. Reverse to fit.

Re: 172 mk1 knocking (hard acceleration and over bumps) Renault Swin say that cant f Top gearbox mount, my money is on. It's only about £20, and is easy enough to fit.

    Oil Leak (Pics Inside)

As above. You won't be getting engine oil leaking there as the bell housing is dry. Mine's always got oil there, but never loses much. Just check it when you do your engine oil, just to make sure, but I wouldn't worrry too much.

    Remoulds - opinions

I'd imagine so. The thickness of a low profile PE2 just hasn't got the depth. Undecided about whether I'd run them or not.

    Remoulds - opinions

The costs involved with lorry tyres are so different. A recut is about £25, where as a new tyre is about £150, give or take. Plus, the tyres have 12mm tread when new, and only about 6/7mm once recut. Is it the same policy where he just cuts into PE2's, or are they completely 'remoulded'?

    Do garages charge you..

Tyres I take it you mean? Yeah, of course they will. It'll only be something tiny though.
