Why nt remove all thats not needed ie air con rad etc PAS pump if you want to be adventurious carbon canistor. Water bottle to boot electric in the space etc?
I'm surpriced that ktec spec such a small increase injectors for duty cycle have you fiddled with the boost?
Cannot say much for the RS track days as I've only ever attended one. However I do feel the driving and track was poor.
I felt like (now I know where he lives) poping round in a lorry tomorrow and leaving it blocking his drive.
I know FCS is never going to be good driving but I keep giving...
Read the small print bar a good will I bet you don't get anywhere as for the warently to hold you need to forfill certain criteria.
And before you berate Renault see what other companies are like who are deemed as better then you may rethink your approach.
Thasts no excuse IMO.
FCS driving standard are always much lower than anywhere else on track including circuits abroad etc. If the drivers were on propere track days many would be pulled off and the circuit would have been kept in a good state.
Yep your right plus the on track driving and standard of the track left a lot to be desired.
Thanks for your help though I meant to text you but havn't got your number or anything (pm's are to full)
Many thanks to the organisers for there hard work and dedication at setting this up
However no thanks to the idiot and ignorant members of the forum. For this reason alone this will be my last ever FCS and any forum meet I suspect
If your DIY and get some help and shop round it can be done cheap.
Forget carbs though IMO go to injection run megasquirt etc orremap your ecu with chipwizards etc
cheap depends how good you are at making stuff.
get the dash top off and check for loose wires most likly a bad earth on the top of the dasboard otherwise if your electics knowedge isn't that good either get ;learning or pay someone to do iot
check the fuses as well thoguh.
Just remove the end caps and measure i cannot remember from the to of me head you'll need to remove the covers anyway.
PS I'd recomend buying the tools
Dave Walker is superb if you have the oportunity to use him then do.
Regards the mapping best talk to him but realy for low threottle use the normal road cars are mapped for good mpg for higher rpm there mapped for power depending on demand is how they map for a race car fuel economy isn'ty...
Cams work best with intake manifold reworking as well.
There loads of choice as for whats best depends on the rest of the engine spec wise cost you have to spend and what you use the car for you could argue going to bin the hydrolic tapets are the the best and high lift cams for some people.
Forget fitting IMo the stock ones are better unless you have some great reason to change it massive suspension chnages and use it for track use only forget it.
Best spend a lot on suspension cheap stuff infact most stuff is rubish including many full kits.
Most likly 58mm only the 172 have the 54 (and 182 without cup packs o and a few mid range phase 1 cars.
