yes, 172, 182, cup etc.....there is no physical change in the damper housing, hence the problem with cups and the strut top mod, they cant be bothered.
oops, sorry edde!!!!!
i think i officially hijacked this!
Mods can delete my posts and return it to eddes topic.
Si or tom, if you want you can start a new thread to gauge interest in a 182/cup/172 kit.
well, it was based on about 1400 quid for 10.
This was manufactuered by a touring car team, so for them to just drop other stuff to build shocks for clios is something.
They would of been awesome, but oh well.
its was a cupracer replica kit, the only difference is that cup racers have a heavily modified front subframe and laguna struts hence the need for custom struts.
Rears were and are cup racer items.
nope, the cupracer setup is only heigh adjustable, not damping. as i see it, there is no point for adjustable, as most people dont have a clue what they are playing with....apart from making it harder.
I tried organising a group buy of some custom units i was having made up for a producton clio race series in asia.
It had the Cupracer billie inserts on adj platforms with camber/castor control, but non adj damping (as nobody would know what to do with it really) all made in a custom strut...
Thats what you get with an NA engine, a very linear torque curve. It doest have the dynamic compression ratios to create a high output burn.
A turbo can forcefully create a massive torque level from low down whih you feel as instant acceleration.
But half the fun of a good drive is wringing...
Springs and dampers wont cure the MK1 V6 woes as that is not the problem. The problem lies in weak components and geometry changes under load.
It is a poor drive.
obviously its already been run in lol!
Just use decent amounts of throttle, and no Yoz that doesnt mean all of it all the time. Not quite your rag, but give it some acceptable stick.
The units perfectly fine, and it looks fine, and the equipment is fine.
But the voice is retarded and the actual dot matrix screen and rubbish graphics are annoying.
Not a bad unit, good at what it does, but R&D and costs ont really come into the speach.
At the end of the day, with all...
Does nobody think the B2 makes the most rubbish noises and has the worst computer voice of all time. Its like something out of the 70s.
Granted it works well, but its horrible to look at and listen to.
