Looking good mate, welcome to the Cup Club!!! :)
There is also www.172cup.co.uk forum to put your motor onto.
Get used to her in the dry, and then when winter comes, you won't be one of the people who will be in the ditch with the cup as what happens every year.
Get some Silvervision...
Not too bad mate, enjoying the old sunshine, even without AC! U going to Trax? Could be tempted!!!
Just looking towards getting the turinis refurbed, and new exhaust, but don't think I'll get them all done before September! (Not with Mandy doing the accounts!)
Donny
Its the stickers, my drivers door had a dodgy 2 also, it was arse...then when I had a car battery go through my wing, they had to do the wing and blend the door, they got me a new badge for the door...cost me nothing as it went through my company's insurance...so I was happy...now the stickers...
Did you not find with the Hyundai Coupe that the indicator is on the wrong side! Pants excuse I know, but it bugged me something chronic on my test drive in one, and apparently the clutch isn't all that in them.
I agree with the Celica, its a good car once you get it into the VVT range...
Alright mate, didn't see you on Thursday although I did let on to a 1*2 black Clio, but didn't see your face...and I can't remember your number plate!!! :)
As for today, I wasn't really looking for a Zafira! Although I will admit, I still keep an eye out for any ambulances round Bridgenorth...
Life is good mate, but gutted I missed FCS, but such is life. Mandys doing well also. Just want to see if ClioSpares has any blue blanking plates for the Cup, as I need the extra weight to slow me down and give Kully a chance! :rasp:
Cheers for the info, will pop down and have a look at some...
Brilliant mate, thanks for this...but the problem is the car. Its a Rover Coupe (Tomcat), would that make any difference?
Ffi Some people are not willing to travel even for quality...any chance of a discount! ;) (Joking!)
Thanks in advance
Donny
Does anyone know of any, the thing is the person who wants it is based in Midlands, advised him of Gibson and Boyne (just because of Ffi! ;)) but he doesn't want to travel that far as its a present for his other half's birthday.
If anyone knows of anywhere decent, please let me know.
Thanks...
Adam, do you mean near the old Court's store? As thats probably the only part of Wolves I actually know (Apart from the Tettenhall Road!)
Is there anything that I should look out for (landmarks) to show me where it is?
(PS. did you do that holder for the clock display?)
Thanks in advance...
This is the problem with this country...you pay through the nose for insurance, etc. yet some scrote, drives around without any insurance, and if they get caught, they get £50 fine or something, and a slap on the wrist! If they are gonna drive without insurance, then chances are that they will...
Mine was sent to me via the post from the dealer where I get my warranty work done (the dealer I bought the car from is in Stockport, I am in Telford!) If you have an RS model, then they know that you should have the insurance to cover it, and if they want to interest you, they 'should' let you...
Same thing is happening in West Mids/Shropshire.
We have it on 2nd July 2006 in Weston Park, (hopefully have the Clio 197 for testing on the grounds). Weston is where V festival is held, so should have enough space...selected dealers send you a pack and give you a unique registration...
I think Martin. AKA Notorious started in the same manner...now have a look at some of his car pics... ;)
It will make more noise, but will feel quicker (psychologically) and you may get more mpg as the engine is pulling less weight from A to B.
Donny
No offence, but that sounds bloody low! I had my Cup done when it had 8K on it, and it was standard, came out with 145bhp ATW (IIRC). Chris n Nic's cup got a bit less (with IK and new exhaust) and Pete's Cup came out with a couple more horses with some filter/ECU and exhaust work (This was about...
Also, if you've got it up on ramps, put a brick on the bottom bit, as I nearly ripped off my newly fitted splitter because it was catching on the bottom of the ramps!!!
Looks good mate, just a shame to see so many no cup cars with this modification...hope its declared! :rasp: :p
Good Work...
I was just gonna say is that Martin!!!
Thank God he doesn't drive Trophys or Cups, as there's only so many of those to go round!!!! ;)
How many Valvers/Williams have you gone through now? I remember the stripped out Williams M reg, then the banana...after that I've no idea!
Donny
;) Taxi for Dan!!! ;)
hehe Joking mate, looks good!!!
Looking forward to seeing it at the next meet where ever that should be!
*Nudge* <---Aimed at Jay!!!
Donny
May be a long shot, but have you tried the JVC website? I had to do this with my phone when I lost the drivers for the PC...
You never know

As Rich172 has said, its your call...but I'm now doing a 70 mile round trip each day, car has 44K on her, and is 3 years old in October!!!
I think that you'd struggle to find as good a car as you've got for the money you've paid if I'm honest.
Donny
I had similar with my old 306, they performed a service, and I asked them to sort my brakes out. 4 days later, coming out of my work place, took a left turn, doing about 15-20mph, and went to take a left again, put foot on brake, and it carried straight on!!!! I had a mate look at it, and he...
My Cup also loses the power to lock. Do as Mark has said if desperation kicks in. Or, I sometimes restart the engine, turn ignition off, remove key (and with driver's door open), press keyfob. This should lock the doors, and let the noise to know you've left a door open. press button again, and...
If you want legally free software, burn4free (they give you a toolbar, use it for 3 searches) its not the best, but unless you go down the illegal route (wouldn't encourage that :quiet:) then its probably best of a free bunch.
Donny
Alright mate,
The whole opinion against Lex-arse lights is because they look good on a Lexus, and should stay as such. Go to www.Barryboys.co.uk and have a look on there, most of the cars have this type of lights.
I personally think its like the Bastardisation of a Clio, I did it about 3...
