Is that Furbers down at Childs Ercall? I saw a Cup in there about 6 months back...looked a right mess. It actually hurt me to see what people had ripped off her. The Renault Sport door trims, etc. A moments lack of judgement... :(
The anthracite Turinis are looking absolutely the dogs bolx on that car...good choice!
Donny
VVVVV As Chris below says, they are the standard wheels for the 172 Cup and the 182 Trophy, but coloured Anthracite (it they are from the Cup) :)
The warranty stays with the car, not the owner, so as long as its done less than 60K, less than 3 years old, and has been through its services at correct intervals, there should be no issue. I bought my car as an ex-demo, warranty fine, and also had to get AA out once when she wouldn't start for...
Ask yourself one question:- Toys? If you want them, go 182, if not, go 172 Cup (but not at that price the seller is taking the P1$$!!! The thing to remember is, if you get the Cup, you'll always wonder well, what if I bought the 182, and likewise with the 182, you'll wonder What if I'd bought...
Because Renault made the Williams engines at that time...Frank Williams et al had no input whatsoever from what I can gather...the car was only made as homolgation for rallying IIRC.
Easy Jon lad!!! ;)
As you know, I'm a fan of both the 172 cup and the Williams, remember guys, back when the Williams was created, it broke the mould, and was a picture that most kids had (or wanted to have) on their walls as a poster all those years ago. It was also a car that most kids...
Daz,
I know it used to be, as when getting my last quotes, Bell wanted £650 whereas everyone else wanted £750-800...so phoned Bell and he said it was a 10 month accelerated quote, so I asked if that would have same benefits as a 12 month policy in terms of no claims discount, he said No, not...
I think that the Car has nothing to do with F1 for me, as I bought the Cup before Renault became really the force that they are now in F1 (I know that they were a force before with Schuey & Benetton). Because there are so many people who have a 1.2 and have put bodykits to make them look faster...
I think that the 10 month 'Accelerator' policies are only recognised by the company that provides them , rather than other companies so example Bell, Admiral and Elephant are same group of companies, so they may accept them, whereas the no claims may not be accepted by say Direct Line or Norwich...
For a diesel car, they reckon that you have to do circa 17K+ per annum to make up for the amount of premium that a diesel car is over its petrol equivalent, plus the extra cost of diesel over petrol. You can get 40+ mpg out of a 172/182 with the right driving...which I think is V.Good for a...
I was on the Birmingham New Road heading into Wolves around this time, there was a Black 182 going towards Birmingham (Dudley if you like) and also one with private reg **** DEB which crossed the new road at Rookery Road, I was in my Cup, so I wasn't one of the ones you saw Chris!!
Bump to...
Thank God for that, I knew I'd see a Williams if I saw one...had me thinking I was going potty!!!
Be good to see the wee beastie when you've got the wheels done...
Donny
I know its too late now, but next time, put a post-it note in the car with mileage on it when taking it in for a service. For both my 12K and 24K service (with 2 different dealers) they didn't take the car out, the chances are that someone took the car on a 'butty run' or something. They...
Bloody hell...that would be me, but I can't remember driving past anyone in a MKI Clio, there are shedloads of MKIIs around there. I was on way to work, but I was half asleep...and trying to get my backside into Bourneville before 8:30....oh the joys of dodging the rush hour (or should it be...
One of the easiest to use (and free) would be google toolbar. http://toolbar.google.com
You could always use firefox which blocks popups when they could be malicious...

I love the handling, some prick in a 200sx (who couldn't handle his car I will add) tried to lose me round an island (roundabout for those outside of W.mids!) and his back end started stepping out on him, when my little poor fwd car was gripping to the road like glue and doing me proud.
Also...
Ollie, is it a private reg with CLIO in huge letters down the side? If it is, she's always floating round Trench Lock/Hadley/Wellington when I've seen her...doesn't look too impressed when I drive past, obviously no Clio loyalty!!!
Pics...OK, the boys from the Mids who've met Mandy know her...
Don't say I don't disappoint, ;) but at least you can see where I was coming from...and I kept the naughty pictures to myself!!!
Donny
For all those who know my Mandy, she's offering to do the BBQ (dressed to impress), but it will cost you...after all, there's got to be some talent to impress (read eye candy) around the CS stand!
(If needed, she can always join the forum as a member, then she'll be the perfect...
I went back up the main road in Ironbridge looking for you. We took several wrong turns...Remember where we all did the turn to go round and then back to the carpark? If we hadn't done the turn, and carried on for another ¼ mile we would have met them! Bloomin' Typical!!!
today at Ironbridge Telford. We had a motorbike rider smiling after we took this pic, rode past us all saying "Another Clio...and Another Clio..." laughing away...
**Pic Courtesy of Lee**
All taken with 2 mobile phones...the one with Kully was after a little 'play' down a dual carriageway when Mandy stuck her head out of the window to take the shot!!!
Good day out guys, good to meet people old and new, looking forward to the next one. :)
I think that the guy/girl in the FRS wasn't that good a driver, hence why the cup was all over the back of it. I am a cup owner, and I think if the FRS was being driven by the guy who was driving the cup, after a couple of laps to get used to the car, he'd have left the cup further behind than...
On the A5 between Telford and Penkridge is a good road, with a few no overtaking zones, and is NSA for the main. I was going down there one night to Penkridge at about 11 at night doing 60 or thereabouts...there was some prick with main beam on, and fogs...came right up my arse to the point that...
Because of the extra weight with the engine being in the front, I've been putting mine at 32f 30r, but have just started to try 34f 32r to see if the fuel economy is any better as I'm doing a wee bit of mileage, and with the petrol prices slowly rising again, wanna make sure I can get as many...
