Because of the extra weight with the engine being in the front, I've been putting mine at 32f 30r, but have just started to try 34f 32r to see if the fuel economy is any better as I'm doing a wee bit of mileage, and with the petrol prices slowly rising again, wanna make sure I can get as many...
Yeah, Grant went for the first time last night, he is under 13, so has to wait until end of august before he can join properly...so once a month until then! :( Can't wait until he can go twice a week!!! :)
^^ Yeah, they don't have one. Some 172 Cups were being failed on the MOT because of it. But apparently VOSA have made note of this being lacking on the 172cup. hope that helps.
PS. Real cars don't have ABS and traction control ;)

Was a good meet, Mandy says Hi to all the guys who know her...she just states that she wasn't getting out of the car in the piddling down rain! Good to see some old faces, some faces from Star City and some new faces. We need to get something organised for a good road run...(think its time for a...
You are probably referring to autocomplete...its where if you type in something in say google, it will show a list of what you've searched for. If you want to remove those...nice and simple, just open the relevant webpage ie google and then push down arrow, and press delete key for each entry...
As with blue's etc. iceberg is different to normal silver (not sure by how much though). The 172 cup has no traction control or ABS, the only Cup that does have ABS is the 182cup, or the 'cupped 182s' The 172 cup comes in Mondiale Blue or Silver, but the silver 172cup is like rocking horse poo...
When I was buying the cup, there was a 172 proper with the Ktec grill and the lower inlet was also like that, I wouldn't touch it with the proverbial bargepole!!! Looks much better now mate.
Ebay or one of the car cruise forums...you never know.

Its the cheapest way to improve your power to weight ratio. instead of paying for ECU or engine work, making the car lighter is cheapest way to go. Plus, how far do you go? some cars have rear seats removed, Matt's Clio TT is stripped apart from driver's seat and dashboard! The cup is 89Kgs...
The cup is 89Kgs lighter than the normal 'Full Fat' 172/182. Its a bloody good car (for the price) and the VVT kick hits about 4-5K, instead of just over 6K on the Civic. Sometimes I wish I'd gotten a 172/182 proper, but then if I had one of those, I'd probably wonder what if I'd gone out and...
AOL and Yahoo are already looking into this. They are looking to charge US users 1cent per email if its to be sent immediately and free for it to go during quiet periods (like 1st and 2nd class real mail!) it will happen, whether the email mentioned is actually a scam, I don't know...just...
Well, mine is the one with reg ending VOF, and no splitter (its in Carport waiting to be installed again!) its funny when you are led to believe that the Cup is reasonably rare, it was more common than the 172s and 182s!!! ;)
Was a good meet, next time, I think I might bring some outside heaters!!!
Good to meet people new and old.
Jay, Lee...Mandy says "Hi & She'll see you at the next meet!"
Looks the part, just get a private plate which would never have been on the car (ie the old letter prefixed) then it would look more like a 182 with private plate than 172 made to look like a 182. Although it is a smashing job.
In my old place, I had the only Renault Sport. There were only about 20 people based on site, then one lad bought a Megane 225, then a month later, sold it and bought a 225 trophy! GIT!!!
I still want the blue seatbelts from the back of it to put in the cup and make it match the car's colour...
Never had the replaced windscreen, but like I was saying to you on Sunday last, they did my chip with silicone, and its fine. You need to be at there site, then if they c**k it up, you can pull their manager and demand it gets sorted. If they do it as a mobile, then they can attempt to take the...
The switching the ignition to position 2 and back a couple of times is great during summer months.
As a side note, does anyone else's car central locking only activate in certain positions,ie. you have to be in a particular position for the C.locking to work?
Donny
Guys,
What is the renault part number (and ideally a price ;) ) for a genuine Renault Aux Belt for the 172 cup (53 plate no aircon)?
Thanks in advance
Donny
Greenlight will do all Clios apart from the Cup due to the high number of single vehicle accidents in Cups...ie Cup, meet tree...etc.
I know the feeling, the Cups are a pain to get a good deal with insurance wise, and I think if you have one at 20, then fair play, but you've gotta pay out...
Question:-
Can you cover the entire 'chip' with a 5 pence piece?
Yes: Phone insurance, they'll tell you where to go to get it done for FREE
No: Phone insurance, probably £50-£70 for replacement windscreen.
Maybe: Try and see if it can be fixed with silicone contact the insurance and...

This explains it all, PS. Don't thank me, thank Edde...he knows his stuff!
I'm in the same boat!
I saw another Octavia vRS on M6 last night, just past where the M5 meets up with it (J8) it was dark in colour (was gone 6 at night) would suggest black or dark grey, you wouldn't have had a clue but for the blue lights! Didn't get a reg, but looking like they're trying to clamp down big style...
Its like my Cup had creaking suspension when reversing, nothing whatsoever when going forward, but reversing into my drive it creaked like God knows! Took it to William A Lewis in Telford, and they replaced it, just took a day to order in. The warranty is pretty much 3 years, or 60K whichever is...
I went into Lookers Stockport to buy a blanking plate for the 172 cup. Asked the bloke in parts how much they cost, he first told me that the 172s all have headlamp washers. The continued the search, and then realised that they have blanking plates. He quoted me something like £55 including VAT...
