Hello all, been on here for a while now and with alot of views/interest on a few threads ive made I thought it would be a good idea to start up a blog to keep it all in one place..
May remember me from such threads which included my "home made intake" etc
So after that 182 the opportunity...
Hello there, just wondering if anyone recognises the part number to my pads, they came fitted to the car when I bought it, they feel pretty damn good.
Many thanks..
Hello all.. I'm currently prepping my 172 to do some single venue rallies so due to buying the car with the suspension fitted already I was unsure on what springs were fitted as they are very stiff!
Turns out I have these.. On the front
These on the rear along with a whiteline arb.
So...
Hello all.. Just purchased some 2118's and had them dipped and powdercoated today.
Decided to weigh them and 3 are 7kg's and the other is 7.9kg... Turns out the inside of the heavier wheel is a different design and doesnt have a groove running around the inside.
Anyone noticed this? Guess its...
Surely one of the breather pipes should be pointing towards the breather outlet to the side not both forward? (although im sure you can bend a hose, would just look neater)
All will become clear soon :)
Should really get a progress blog up ideally..
Radiator is half fitted, just have to make the cooling pipes up.
Mr secret fabricator man knocked up this headertank/catch tank for me.
Getting there slowly! Airbox soon all being well but thats alot of work to get right.
This one is purely for ny car due to cost and the amount that has to be changed... A replica of a standard radiator can be sold
r anything that anyone would want ofcourse.
Thanks for the comments.
Airbox next!
Well the radiator is 95% done, just the mounting bosses to finish up but it looks amazing.
After 25years doing this we have found the single pass to be better overall.
Photos coming shortly!
Hello again russ, the core I have is similar dimensions, overall the rad will be 630x300x50 so pretty similar to what youve mentioned.
It will be mounted on the bottom two pins as standard and then the top will be a bracket fabricated from where the slam panel bolts on.
Front cross member...
The design of the one we done was a copy of the customers steel one that he wanted made in aluminium so not to our design as i agree i wouldnt want it that "boxy"
Just showing that we can fabricate one. Il get a price.
It's not needed but it is for me as the standard rad is too big to fit an airbox around.. Plus I make all these types of things so I may aswell
Do it properly :) oil cooler will be due to be made aswell.
Little update..
Proper motorsport radiator core arrived today, will be starting to make the end tanks tommorow.
This core is shorter to allow room for the airbox, wider and alot thicker, also will be single pass unlike the standard multipass radiator.
Wont be none of this £40 polo rad...
