i cant say if itll affect the cams or how well they run, depends how close to the edge they have put things. But it should run ok.
Andy GDI?
He would probably fit them without mapping, but i am assuming he would prefer to map it for peak performance. I would suggest getting it mapped, but...
metal is roughly 2 mil thick, and its safer to do it with the strut out.
It can be daunting, but if you really wanna do it theres no real harm. Just make sure you rust proof it again.
Yes, N20 can be used in a diesel and its usually gives better results!
Primarily because they dont use a spark ignition system and ignition is by the temps generated on teh compression stroke, before diesel is added under extreemly high pressure. Bonus is that diesels arent limited by...
No, you can fit and time them in as per manufacturer details, and you dont have to remap, but a remap will see you running perfectly on them. But saying that, the std ecu runs wilder cams paricuarly well!
But depends on that cam profile, as its not specfied by them.
setting up N20 to its most efficent point isnt hard, but if you change the ignition curve or fueling curve then you will need to slightly adj the jet sizes.
you can simply fit the cams with the engine out as this will make life alot easier.
If you want the best deal on new parts contact bondy from this site, he has beaten every quote i have ever had.
erm, cant really see whats what in that pic, but on the connections on the manifolds from far end moving towards throttle body are:
charcoal canister
MAP
cam cover to manifold vapour recirculation breather pipe
brake servo
fuel pressure reg
i think thats right
Still, grpN items are rather pathetic.
Chassis wise its grea stuff, but engine.....ZZzzzzzzzzz
Infact, in most cases GrpN rally cars can go a bit more mental with their chassis than GrpA which have tighter regulations iirc. I have a mate who has his scooby shell bent in a hydro jig to alter...
Renault dealers can choose their labour rates, but they cant change the labour charges per job done. There is a large book telling how many hours you have to charge, even if you do it in 10% of the time it states.
