Yeah, I would have thought so too. I looked earlier today for it and could only see the old edition. I don't think I'll bother with EVO again though, I just can't get my hat on, over anyone saying a clio is better than an RS Focus!

Does anyone know if the lower balljoint on the 172 is different to those on the other clios? One shop says it is a different part and another says they are all the same. Anyone know?

I got my best ever score the other day, 75 miles along the A30 down into deepest Cornwall, 43.8 mpg. This included a bit of fast stuff to avoid boredom, but mainly kept to 65-75 mph. Using Optimax but I've changed today over to Sainsburys 97 RON cos of the cost. I'll see how it compares...
Great review, but I can't quite understand why that Williams is on a P plate? Really looking forward to next edition of Evo though, it should be a classic and one to keep!

I had a close-up look at one in Renault in Southampton, it was a nice red colour - but that's about all I can say in its favour TBH. Just too big a car now for my liking, too heavy looking, nothing bad-boy about it (Williams are the best looking IMO). Maybe a lightweight version will come out in...
I've had braided lines fitted. Never had a problem but only done airfield days so far. Braided lines seem to me to be sensible choice for track use. Not expensive either.

I'm after the best place to buy some parts from. I prefer to buy genuine Renault parts but not at daft prices. I need to get: lower balljoints, track rod ends, bushes, dog bone engine mount, suspension strut bearing and probably a set of Eibach pro springs.
Any advice?

Thanks Edde, that probably explains why some of us find no difference when replacing the OE filter - the engines perform differently. I bet AMG Mercs and BMW Ms wouldn't. But our cars only cost 15 grand rather than 45.

I disagree chaps. My car is definitely, absolutely and completely quicker with a green cotton filter than with an OE filter. No doubt about it in my view. The OE filter was quite new and I keep my after market filter clean as well. After fitting it, the car felt far freer reving and had much...
She wears glasses I think. I flashed her once, long time ago. She gives me strange looks now. I see her quite a lot. There's also a bloke in a silver 172 like ours. Saw him this morning heading towards Exmouth at Clyst St George.

I'm after some advise. It's time to change the front and rear springs on my 172 phase 1. I don't want it lowered only stiffened up a bit. Would a set of cup springs work I wonder, should be a bit stiffer? Any thoughts?

Yep, I'm having some squirting problems, please help.
Twice during the day I floored it (a 172 phase 1) and when I did it squirted a little screen wash from the jet over the rear window. It defo did it. Totally weird. Anyone possibly know why?

For Rsport details try www.renaultsport.co.uk. I think it's their phone number you can get and they post you the details. Someone on that site will tell you if no one can here.

I had the RSi, a phase 3 jobbie with all the gauges like on the Williams. Bit old now IMHO. Why a VTR rather than a VTS, same as the GTi? Go for the Pug if it was me.

It might not help but on the 172 it's located in a black box that's above and behind where the brake master cylinder is. Easy enough to get at without removing the wipers. Just take off the plastic section that's below the windscreen on the drivers side. Remove the two screws on top of the black...
Yes, more or less. If you're local you should come up to the next Airfield day. If there is another one that is. They're held at Smeatharpe near Honiton. At Dunkeswell kart track on Sunday there's a Renault 5 Turbo 2 racing, worth seeing I reckon.
