60mm will be fine. I ran my old 1.2 with 40s for a few months then 60s for another 6months on standard shocks and they were still fine when I sold the car.
The two bolts where the strut bolts to the hub, just above the brake disc, measure the distance between them. Either top to top or middle to middle or bottom to bottom. You might be able to get in with the wheel on full lock, can't remember.
Measure. Don't assume it's 58, it should be, but there are the odd ones that are different. Easier to take ten mins to take the wheel off than to order the wrong thing and have to send it back.
This is why I keep a tyre valve removal tool in my car. Take the little metal valve out of it's housing and throw them all away, wait until all the tyres have pissed out all their air completely, replace the valve caps and leave, or wait from a distance and laugh as they try to re-inflate the...
There's still welds and stuff on the decat, the tight spot they've got to get into to fit it, it's not just a simple straight pipe, there's lots they can bugger up.
Wow, you're a brave man fixing that quarter panel, there's no way in hell we'd ever fix that, would be replaced 100%. Suppose it's OK for your own car as you've no one else to keep happy with the repairs.
The reason we'd replace it is that much filler on a panel WILL crack/sink eventually...
Yeah I did this in the 172, up on ramps at work, windows closed, started the car in the air and shut the door. Car thought it was doing above 5 due to the wheels spinning and it locked. Lucky we have a kit for this at work, a plastic wedge with an inflatable bag type thing and a hook for sliding...
As with any type of car, you get good ones and bad ones, just your luck what one you pick. Oh and yes, it will definitely put a smile on your face, hence why I'm on my 3rd Clio.
Standard 200 has been made softer than the standard 197, cupped 200 has been made stiffer than the cupped 197. So there will probably be a fair bit of difference in the handling.
