The only advantage over a car with extra ponys would be when the driver with tuition skills exceeds the level of ability of the driver with no additional training and for that to happen it would be at the upper most limits in the majority of cases.
For extra driver tuition to be more of an advantage over a slightly more powerful car in public road conditions you'd have to be on the limits.
Track days can see a advantage but road conditions your not going to be quicker point to point, just safer
Never noticed any difference performance wise or temps tbh
Heard about the fire risk thing before. Bag of offcuts i had was impossible to burn. Maybe its just cheap stuff where the risk is??
Yeah it all plugged straight up. This was on a late, twin cat ph1 model mind although iv never read of anyone having to change the lambda's when doing this conversion.
Yeah plug the 2nd lambda in
Whats the story behind these 16'' versions? Seen a few on here in the past. Their genuine Renault based OZ, not aftermarket OZ's are they not?
Were they for the euro market or something?
That kind of over inflation although fun lol would be damn right dangerous for prolonged road use not to mention tyre wear. Clio's are skitish at the back as it is.
Why have you pumped them up to a comedy level? Iv heard of over inflation but thats taking the pi55
Road tyres generate heat once warmed up so tyre pressures increase. Your 60 psi will probably be mid 70's on a warm day !!
Load of bollox about higher = better grip. Why do you...
Sure the euro lads are using Henk RS Tuner maps on the stock ecu iirc. Might be wrong.
Sure the 428 thing is a quote by someone who claimed their about the wildest out the Cat Cam range you can run on stock ecu due to rough idling? You'd have to speak to a mapper tho
Fit the Maxogen and just have a cold air feed from lower grill or fog light pointing in the direction of the IK's inlet, say a inch away. Dont connect anything to it, it will just restrict it plus theres no need to go over the top as it already sits in the coldest part of the engine anyway
Might have cracked 200 with a Maxogen Fred. :rasp: Back to back tests ftw ;)
Maxogen is a very expensive piece of kit and your not going to get raw gains but then would you fit one to expect big bhp gains or to have the best out the box flowing IK money can buy? ;)
Thats a very hard way your going to extract power there. Be far easier just bolting up a set of TB's or stretching the wallet a few hundred more for a charger or turbo conversion.
Forced induction is the only way to go with these imo rather than bolt ons and polishing this and that. Far less...
