Loved my old Viper and defo made the car pull better once all set up and in conjunction with other mods but the foam tore so went Maxogen.
Maxogen kit is amazing. Quality is second to non, you'll never need to buy another!
In terms of performance the Maxogen pulls better near the top end than...
Engine mount threads always seem to be a touchy subject.
From being a ''sheep'' lol there appears to be a lot of mixed views. The ones who rate them all seem to quote ''track'' in their posts which dosent clear up what their like on the road
You can get away with not replacing the gasket 99% of the time although for that rare 1% and the fact its such a cheap part its probably best to replace it
Only ever heard of one person having this done and it was a one off by Ben R. Not sure of the users name. :)
Think the plenum had to be cut open and totally re-worked.
They do buckle easy these.
Shove a claim in to the council. Worth a shot eh :)
Renault book these at 175 ish each. Now i managed to get the VAT knocked off by kinda of haggling them down so you should be able to get one for 140 area maybe?
Failing that if its a 'up and down' type buckle i...
Bet he was doing some welding too? Thats 3rd degree mental at its best haha
Another tip for quick retrieving of lost items in the engine bay, buy a telescopic magnet. Sell them in the pound shop
How often does a aftermarket charger unit have to be serviced?
My mate had a big power G40 (not sure what charger, think stock but uprated) and he had to send his away every X amount of thousand miles.
Does the same apply to aftermarket ones ?
You get more snow in Leeds than Scotland!! lol My mates always reporting extreme weather conditions
I made a vid last night of doing 30 to 70mph in roughly 1 second lol - cant beat icy private roads
As per the gain / difference in performance after work yeah. The castings vary from car to car with these and obviously folk with the RS inlet wont notice as big a difference pre and post compared to say that of a poorly cast ph2 FF
In terms of process its basically the same for all...

Think the point a few are making is the rollers dont appear to be just 'out', their WELL out :nono:
Agree with the last point, its on the road or track that counts.
Because at the time this was the Hot Hatch to have (pre CTR years) plus there wasnt any RS Fords on the new car market to choose from.
Tons of kit for the cash and great value for money
Because we live in a ''crime pays'' society.
Worst that can happen to them is communitiy service and a free holiday.
Criminels have more rights than victims
Lot better looking than the Jap crap and modern cars of today.
True example of when Ford had balls
Its all about airbags and warning sounds now
Re: What will she make???
171.8 at the Fly
Every rolling road iv been on over reads by a square mile bar RS Tunings.
The mileage means nothing as long as its running healthy
Headworks about £600 then there's all the bits and bobs that goes with it, the labour, plus the 182 manifold and then at the end a remap. You wont be a million miles off 1500 for that little lot.
It will make a difference but not a £1500 well spent worth of difference IMO
If i were you...
Pretty sure the manifold ports will all be the same come 172 - 182. Just the 4 -1 / 4 - 2 - 1 thing thats the difference - still no smaller than the head ports so no gains
The ph1 172 head runs larger exhaust ports but smaller inlet ports i belive.
Sure someone on here's dad worked at Magnex and said they filled the silencers with concrete :o
Posted on here about summer time on a random exhaust thread
