Good when they came out but weigh a tonne, zero performance gain, take a lot of setting up to fit right without knocking, tailpipe designs are gash. Putting £100 more to the money you payed for it would have been 100 quid well spent

It is ''PS'' not BHP remember but yeah quite a lot seem to run under power in stock trim. Could be a million and one reasons. They do seem to love mileage these things so anything under 50k is only a pup lol TBH Even with 168 bhp they can match a Civic Type R which have a good 10 to 15 bhp...

Probably down to the headwork and 182 mani as apart from that where all running pretty much the same mods

Heres mine running Zorst, inlet, Piper Cams, Maxogen, bit of headwork and 182 mani. With 181 it was seeing off my mates R32 with ease on countless quarter mile runs, running a best of 14.4 Paul tweeked the map, gained 11lbft mid range plus nearly 6 bhp and the motor feels far better still so...

Basic physics. You stiffen up one area, you place stresses on other areas. Engine moves for a reason, take the movment out, where is it being placed? I aint saying dont get one, just read on here previous that they aint all that.

+1 Should gain mpg if anything as the exhaust is more free flowing. Probably the thing of, car sounds nice so you boot it more which = a down turn in MPG

Have a look on the search. Sure iv read the polly dog bone isnt that good? End of the day if you make all the mounts stiff, the energy will be passed onto other areas of the car which will increase wear and road noise etc etc Probably better having a bit of movment to cushion tbh

Just had a look. Running Viper and Magnex no other mods. Star Performance dated 04.12.2004 173.5 bhp fly fig @ 6670 rpm (132.5 @ wheels) 146 lbft @ 5600 rpm

Yeah that was me mate :) Fred and Danny. Mine dont rattle a bit!! - Probably just the early ones that rattled Ok regarded as a low budget alternative but gets the same gains as all these other fancy cams for half the price

Get some 300 quid Piper re-grinds ;) 174lbft on RS tunings RR, roughly 30lbft up on stock :cool:
