Just for your own interest yeah. Will make sure the cars running right prior to work.
If you choose mapping through a tuning company you should get a final set up RR figure
Thats what im hoping Fred.
Ran a 14.4 with full interior, heavy Speedline 2118's and prior to the tweeked map so should run better on a decent track and especially now its set up
Im just on about how long the finish will last. Last thing you need is after one winter and a dose of wheel clean is the paint to start stripping back.
You clearly want them to be of a high standard or else you wouldnt have put this topic up :)
Renault might not powder coat to begin with but...
Good when they came out but weigh a tonne, zero performance gain, take a lot of setting up to fit right without knocking, tailpipe designs are gash.
Putting £100 more to the money you payed for it would have been 100 quid well spent
It is ''PS'' not BHP remember but yeah quite a lot seem to run under power in stock trim.
Could be a million and one reasons. They do seem to love mileage these things so anything under 50k is only a pup lol
TBH Even with 168 bhp they can match a Civic Type R which have a good 10 to 15 bhp...
Just to balance the argument, theres more than one person who has expressed problems after a quick search.
You read what you read some of its going to be bull, others fact, thats forums for ya...
Yeah, its probably very good for track use but thats not road use where you have pot holes and...
Heres mine running Zorst, inlet, Piper Cams, Maxogen, bit of headwork and 182 mani.
With 181 it was seeing off my mates R32 with ease on countless quarter mile runs, running a best of 14.4
Paul tweeked the map, gained 11lbft mid range plus nearly 6 bhp and the motor feels far better still so...
Spotted about 3 negatives from folk who have it like but lets face it, every mod your going to get your lovers and your haters.
I didnt say dont get it ;)
Basic physics. You stiffen up one area, you place stresses on other areas. Engine moves for a reason, take the movment out, where is it being placed?
I aint saying dont get one, just read on here previous that they aint all that.
+1
Should gain mpg if anything as the exhaust is more free flowing.
Probably the thing of, car sounds nice so you boot it more which = a down turn in MPG
Have a look on the search. Sure iv read the polly dog bone isnt that good?
End of the day if you make all the mounts stiff, the energy will be passed onto other areas of the car which will increase wear and road noise etc etc
Probably better having a bit of movment to cushion tbh
Sounds like a right cowboy job.
I got mine done last week, powder coated and the finish is as good as one of the new wheels i had to buy to make the set!
Tyres had to be taken off and they had to be left for a week.
To do a finish in 2 hours cant have been done right imo - I wouldnt...
On the same lines this ones a cracker. What a ladys breast he made of this pmsl
Go on Phil rev it up hahaha

Anti virus im using is Kaspersky.
Bearshare used to be really good, lots of results and quick downloads but with my pc being out of action for a period of time and all this stuff on the news regards to illegal downloads, with me having no luck so far i just wondered if it was the 'current...
Yeah. 172's have a more restrictive cat where as 182 ones are less restrictive so less gain
Sports cats are pointless imo due to the cost and hardly any gain. Full deact or not at all
To cut a long story short the pc screwed up so i bought a new one. Needing some new tune-age about the bit so went back to Bearshare where i used to get my music and other interesting viewing from.
Downloaded Bearshare 7, the new version i think? and the song choices are now non existent...
Was that on the same rollers?
I made 167 @ the wheels a year earlier prior to last weeks visit to RS Tuning on another set of rollers.
Dyno Dynamics rollers are meant to be bang on like thats why when folk claim these wild BHP figures on other rollers with little in the way of mods its...
Just had a look.
Running Viper and Magnex no other mods.
Star Performance dated 04.12.2004
173.5 bhp fly fig @ 6670 rpm (132.5 @ wheels)
146 lbft @ 5600 rpm
**edited didnt read your post proper lol
I had a lot of work done all at once on the car from another well known tuner but it was something like 133 @ wheels in stock trim
Yeah that was me mate :)
Fred and Danny. Mine dont rattle a bit!! - Probably just the early ones that rattled
Ok regarded as a low budget alternative but gets the same gains as all these other fancy cams for half the price
