They want a chassis number for to order a part? What a load of crap. Usually they only need a reg plate :S
What year of Espace do these airboxes come on ??
You might think that spending nearly 400 quid on a IK means it also automatically finds its own cold air supply but the truth is it cant. It has the advantage of sticking into the coldest part of the engine and being good at what it does, thats it.
The same still applys to this bit of kit...
Lowering springs arnt that harsh a ride.
Eibach Sportlines is probably the one you should go for if your worried about comfort. Apex will lower it more (40 mm) but you'll get a slightly more comfy ride with a Eibach as thier progressively wound
Dosent sound a lot but then again when you see a car worth upwards of 25k with 240bhp that was sitting right next to you then 5 seconds later its now visable in your rear view mirror it puts it all into perspective :rasp:
From reading on here TB'd up 172 / 182's arnt breaking into the 13's so...
Rubbish
I couldnt get under a 15 second quarter mile till i had cams, inlets head etc etc installed. Last outing at Crail it ran a 14.4 with full interior and heavy ICE install ! blew my mates R32 Golf into the weeds. Few more tweeks and if i stripped it times would come further down again...
Wrap some black insulating take round to seal the hole.
Also dont connect it up. From experience this causes restriction. Point the cold air feed at the Viper.
You dont need to map it but to get the best out of the kit its wise to
Fuel consumption shouldnt be much of a issue. I get the...
Only thing with that one is it dosent go very far over towards the cold air area so could possibly counter suffer heat soak maybe with it being a open filter?
Clio racer intake
Yeah, if it caused problems it wouldnt take much to shield off. Proof is in the pudding at the end of the day ;)
Great topic. Suprised more folk arnt trying to make the intake track more straighter as it certainly looks a big point of restriction with that 90 degree bend
Going by the drawing it would only move a matter of inches from its current position so would hardly have that much of a effect plus if anything that position would be even cooler than the original place with it being further away from the main heat area, the manifold
Dont think it would...
The only info i could find on here was from a lad who fitted one from his mates Focus to try it on his 182 and it wouldnt work at all!
Surely it must work on the Clios with K-Tec selling it.
I wonder what functions it will actually show if half dont work?
Whats everyones opinions on this?
Read in a Ford mag a while back the driver rated it very highly on his RS Focus for what it could do.
Not sure how accurate it is but it looks a interesting piece of kit
opinions? :)

Think im right in saying those are the MAX ones ??
Did a search on those and they seem to wear out more quick.
For my use stock works fine but really wanting to know what the advantage / disadvantage these Brembo's have over stock :)
Is there any advantage in the Brembo HC discs over the stock Renault items?
Do they wear out at the same rate? Better braking etc etc?
Cars running roughly 200 bhp but i dont do track days.
Being checking out the price difference and theres only roughly a 9 quid in it
cheers
Not sure about the 182's but the mk1 172's are down as having a 'Optimum Gear Change Indicator' which to me sounds more like Renault saying its a shift light than a over reving light.
In anycase as already said, depending on what you use your car for, usually when mapped the cars rev limit is...
Thats not porting it tho. Porting for gains is when they take the inlet back to the size of the gasket, ie boring it out ?
Taking any rough off will do bugger all
Had it done in conjunction with other mods so couldnt tell you what difference it makes on its own but back in the day this was the mod to get done due to Renaults hit or miss castings.
Yeah, good up to 208 bhp so unless your in a very high state of tune running up to or over that or running TB's they'll be fine.
As for the larger TB size, seems to be split down the middle as to whether there's any performance gains to be had
