Never sat in a 182 with Recaro's. Are the side bolsters tight?? They dont look it
Iv got a Escort as a run about and bolted in some rs turbo Recaro's and their the best seats iv ever sat in !! I thought the 172 seats were fine but they dont come close to the rs recaro's.
Saying that, i...
If your going to be hashing about on a track, pushing the car on its limits for constant amounts of time of course its going to expose weak points and their will be better boxes etc etc but that goes for any OE component part, brakes, suspension etc etc when your treating it as a race car in...
I think its your driving style rather than it being a weak box.
Iv done 100k on the standard box on my ph1 172 and its never let me down once. Ok i dont do track days but i do do quarter miles and 'fast road' but it dosent struggle into gear, glitch or owt.
The amount of folk who complain...
Since when did you need speed to out run the cops?? Most of the time on shows like Police Cameara Action etc speeds never get above 50! Its all about agility not speed (unless your on the motorway obviously)
Might look a bargain but why arnt they bothering to sort what 'could' be a very simple problem yet folked out X amount on a new cam belt etc which will have cost over half as much as what there wanting for the car!
Im on about the inlet pipe. Pretty obvious where the main restriction is just by looking at the photo's.
The straighter the smoother the pipe the better air flows. there's not much point sorting one area (the CAF) and neglecting the other (the inlet)
For all the f4nnying about with these CAF's your time and money would be better spent ditching the OE intake pipe!
Your gains are only as good as the air that goes through your throttle body. IKs only stops the crap
Folk want to go quick for the cheapest price. A Clio has very limited potential with out spending silly amounts of money and then theres still the question of reliability on top when you do.
Out the box a TT conversion makes perfect sense. I belive it has just about the same dimensions as the...
Mines the wipers. Does it on the non spoiler type and with the spoilers on.
Quick flic of the wipers when the whistle starts should reveal if thats what your problem is.
Never had a problem from the mirrors on mine
Moving the filter to a 2nd 90 degree bend down by the arch will lose power not gain it
There was a thread on doing this a while back. Some sort of 'effect' but cant mind the name
Could anyone recommend me a decent AFR meter please?
I was speaking to a guy a few year back who gave me the impression there's certain types to avoid etc
Just a basic but accurate one will do the job.
thanks :)
Would have gussed that TB's would a been under 14's too but im guessing your not a pro just like most of us so with decent tyres, set up and a lot of practice thats a damn good starting point fella.
Starter motor on my 172 has a intermittent problem where it keeps sticking.
Got about 50k worth of starts under its belt
Is it worth cleaning or is it time for a new one ??
What sort of price are they?
2 to 3 hours !!
Could a done it with my teeth quicker than that the first time we did it.
A hour tops.
Its not a hard job, just a back breaking one.
