Parada's are equally as good grip wise on the road and last a lot longer than 888's plus are cheaper.
From a road use point of view the only advantage a 888 has over a Parada is the stiffer sidewall. I found the levels of grip to be the same if not better with the Parada's
I bought my 182 manifold including 182 cat for £230 from ebay. Sold the cat and got a couple of mates to fit it.
Total cost bought and fitted plus modded decat roughly £250 ish
Breakers yards are the best bet as there's loads of 182's about now. Ebay for the long shot and local Ad Traders...
I Swore by F1's until recently trying Parada's.
The Yoko's feel on another level compared plus are a tad cheaper (mk1 172 195/50)
Wont be going back to F1's for a while
Think of all the Clio Sport models your picking the slowest probably least fun example.
If you want fun go for a Cup followed by a mk1 172 then a Trophy.
If the car is a decent one owner example the owner will have had all the wee rattles ironed out just like any other car.
TBH yes it...
So technically if Cliosporters could somehow upgrade the 3 bar would it be possible to eliminate this rough cold running problem??
Surely there's a way to bypass it or upgrade?
^^^Yeah it just needs the map perfecting fella. I got a bloke to map my smt6 when i had it and he got the idle just spot on. Shame the rest of the map was crap lol
Is this cold splutter not all down to the MAP sensor ???
**Apologies for bumping the thread up
yeah by jacking the car up and looking underneith but if you read his first post he said the AA man didnt check ! Any AA man worth is salt would not start a car if he suspected the cam belt was away!
Going by the loss of power with no warning lights and the starter problem its pretty...
Reading his posts it sounds as though its his Auxilary belt thats snapped not his cam belt.
You cant see a cambelt unless you take the top mount off so how would he no its not there ;)
maybe?? lol
Who's to say it isnt your other mods making the real difference ;)
Like someone already said, the only real proof is to get a standard car and do a before and after.
I pm'd a lad on here a year back who had a enlarged Jenvey TB fitted and he claimed it made bugger all difference.
Going by the fact tuners arnt exactly falling over themselfs to promote a larger TB on a 172/182 this would certainly match up to the reports of it not worth messing about with
