I was doing some work on the car the other week and it required us to move the car about in a yard with the ignition off a good few times and on pretty tight lock.
After this the steering now is very heavy feeling and goes a tad light when on lock but only noticeable in motion.
My mate...
Cant see a problem with the way its made. A little bit louder yes but you'd hardly notice it.
Ive cut mine down and mated it between a Magnex zorst and a 182 manifold. Makes a lovely deep quality sounding note now.
Nothing wrong with the pipe bore.
Its a good exhaust apart from the back box which looks out of place , dosent mount well and is way too heavy for the car
It is strange cos i went on a long run the day before and only used 20 quids worth and a average of 39mpg.
Mate was saying last night that the petrol light coming or sticking on is a common problem with Clio Willy's.
I do have a habit of waiting till the light comes on before filling up...
I put ten quids worth of Shell's finest in yesterday and did about 10 to 15 miles maximum. Went out at night and after turning the engine off and back on again the low fuel light was on !!
No way have i used anywhere near a tenner's worth of petrol even tho the petrol gauge had dipped quite...
Tesco's have a wide selection of trolly's available. Ideally one from Homebase would be better as they have the 'low loader' types in stock.
Slip a ned 5 quid, bobs your uncle f4nny's your aunt you have a engine mover ;)
Neds were thin on the ground when i bought my engine so 2 lads and a...
There's no difference between 172 / 182 flanges etc. Once you get the manifold on it just a case of getting the cat / zorst welded up to the right lengh.
Got mine done for 100 notes but that was through m8's in the trade.
there's a 182 mani on ebay just now :)
The car will ideally need to be on a ramp plus that works out at a total of 3 hours and 2 folk which = a pain in da rear.
I know its only once a year but its still a pain. Thank god for 182 manifolds :)
My Janspeed decat said ''Clio cup'' on it so i take it it was meant for a mk2 ph2? It...
Only down side having a decat on a 172 is its a pain to fit and take off again something of which you'll need to do when it comes to every MOT time and less you know a friendly garage ;)
On the plus side it did make a difference to performance
Mine used a mk2 Janspeed decat although it...
Could be the cable but it should be easy to tell by taking it off from the throttle body and seeing if it slides in and out easily.
It would have to be fraid pretty bad to stick.
What id do is when the revs rise, get out the car and make sure your throttle body disk (the bit the cables...
Who stock these Zeta Linea tyres ??
I did a search and only found one place and they were the same price bar a couple o quid of Toyo T1's and Eagle F1's
Dont like those myself. They look like they've been designed by someone from Max Power to give a bigger looking rim by moving the spokes right to the edge of the wheel.
Bought a pair of spare light weight wheels. Im going to use them for when i go up the 1/4 mile strip plus as a spare set.
Which would be the best tyre to fit ?? They would need to be road legal as like i say i'll be using them as spares.
Im running 15's at the min and was thinking on the...
Thats a damn good price that.
Just basic mechanic skills will see it fitted but it is a b**ch of a job and one that folk always say they'd never do again !!
Tis the ramp thats rusty ya cheeky bugger ;) My m8 bought it for 100 notes lol
A while back there were 182 manifolds for sale on ebay every other week but now supplies seem to have dried up.
Finding one is more hassle than fitting one !!
Took about 5 hours to fit and about a hour all in to weld the zorst / mod the Janspeed decat.
Does make a noticeable difference to performance from what i felt although not booted it behond 3 thousand revs due to it running dangerously lean. Its in getting remapped now.
Got a lightened fly on mine and you honestly wont notice any difference at all.
The car is slightly jerkier to drive although i had cams and other mods carried out at the same time so it could be attributed to them.
On the whole tho, i wouldnt bother
50 foot of wrapping on that !! the wee tie's are a fiver each !!
God knows if it works but as i had the manifold sitting there and its only to be done once i thought why not plus i spoke to Andy GDI and he recommended i did it and apparently he's gonna be doing it to his 182 demo at some...
