I went outside about lunch time today to give my old man's Boxster S a quick shampoo and QD, but 7 hours later I have return, after ending up claying, PC polish with AG SRP, wheels and tyres, windows... you get the picture!
Annoying thing is I will probably end up spending the same amount of...
Hot water will remove more wax than colder water - but as long as its not boiling should be fine really.
What you need to be carefull is the temperature of the car itself - a car with warm or hot panels is a lot more difficult to clean than a car which is cool and in the shade especially in...
Black one... although you know you should get the Bravia anyway! By far the best picture quality and colours. According to my mate who knows about this stuff, Samsung share about 80% of their components with Sony so not like they are bad!
In my opinion the Sharp LCDs have a really good picture too.
They say to drop it from a sensible height, so I guess about 30-40 cm. The Renault bonnet and suspension is all a bit rubbish though in my opinion, I hope the newer generation are better? Never opened the lid on any new RSs yet...
I use Chemical Guys Extreme Wash N Wax and consider it the best shampoo I have used to date. It is PH neutral and therefore very gentle on wax and sealants, and leaves a really nice glossy finish on all colour cars. Worth making an order (Car Wash N Wax sell it amongst others) - a lot lazier...
Yeah it is bloody hard to get it 100% in a day, but you can make a huge difference on bad cars to getting them a lot better than they were. The most fun is making cars in good condition even nicer though, I don't really like cleaning what I consider "dirty" cars anymore lol.
Nice! Really like that blue when it is glossy like that... Menzerna is top stuff, although having said that only ever used that and 3m stuff by machine so hard to compare really!
Total waste of time...like people have said you might as well save your money for the real thing, and will look rubbish and cost far too much to achieve this.
There is a white R26 coming out anyway... although the idea of a white mk2 V6 in white with the contrasting white elements is a very exciting project.
At the end of the day buying a new Renault will never be considered a solid investment so get a cheap second hand model and do it up. I'd look...
You can use the wax over the detailer... not a problem. Definitely worth doing... the XXX is pretty good although haven't used it myself for about a year now, will have to get it out again as was a nearly full pot!
I would say body shop, the panel it on will be very noticable and a poor repair could make it look worse. Probably looking at about £130 - £200 depending where you get it done though unfortunately as they will have to blend it in well.
As for the swirls, Scratch X will have an effect but if...
I have a Hydra Blade and never noticed any damage induced by it, just rinse it with water before using it. However I only use it on my windows now just to be on the safe side... a great time saving device in my opinion, just be careful though as people have said.
To be fair that could be considered racist, although your offensive comments were just as bad.
If you don't agree with Rich's advice (or other peoples for that matter) that is fine, but some people on here really know what they are talking about on here and, despite what you say, Tar Remover...
It is finally time for the big 36k service on the old 172... I was hoping some kind soul may be able to suggest a decent place to get this done in the South East somewhere, as have heard the Renault dealerships are lame and would like it done by someone who knows what they are doing ideally...
They just don't have a particularly good reputation for doing good work. Certainly for most repairs they are unable to match what could be achieved in a bodyshop. Another factor is they work outside and unless they are very carefull (they normally aren't) you can get overspray.
Not that they...
Better safe than sorry I guess...! I feel quite inadequate now with the 3!
I think the filtered water system you use is a great idea, my plan is to run a few jugs of the old Brita filtered water into a few buckets and see how that comes out. At the moment though I am only cleaning my car every...
