The only reminder I get is when wacks off the rev limiter and aint very nice either.......like i said ive got one eye on the road and the other on the rev counter which can be very off putting when your trying to play with other cars.

Mind you if you needed any work doing on your car and walked into the garage wearing a very tight short skirt bet youd get a bigger discount than any bloke could!.......it all evens its self out in the long run!! ;)
There isn t a shift light on mine either. [ Y reg 2001 mk1 ] its a real pain when giving it some welly.... You find youve got one eye on the road and the other on the rev counter!!.......spoke to the dealer about it and all they gave me was an A4 piece of paper telling me it had been...

In the UK we only get about 3 days of snow, if were lucky, all year and most of that never sticks to the ground!!.........still there shouldnt be too much difference between a 185 and a 195 tyre in the snow........you wouldnt notice it anyway!! :):):)
Are you trying to say thar 185" tyres will be better in the snow than 195"?....if so I would say there wouldnt be much difference between the two sizes in the snow.........In the UK the mk1 172 came with Michelin Pilots on as standard in a size 195/50 tyre these are ok in all...

What exactly are you going to be doing with these 185s which you wouldnt with the 195s.....think youve been reading too many rallying magazines!!
The red ones dont look as sporty as the silver ones almost anonymous in fact.....when I went for my mk1 I had the choice of the Reno demonstrator car which was a red one but decided I would plump for a silver one..... glad I did.........spoke to the bloke who bought it, turns out hed paid £700...

Soz your wrong a 195/45 16"tyre has a total diameter of 587mm a 205/40 17" tyre has a total diameter of 596mm a difference of + 9mm.
Just for the record a 195/50 15"tyre = 577mm and a 205/45 16" = 590mm.
Hope this helps.
Why dont Magnex just make a nice 3" round back box for us non boy racers. it seems from the posts on the exhaust subject [at least one a day] that they would certainly sell well and would be a vast improvement on current hanging too low boxes that they make at the moment.
Seem to remember the...
Didnt think much of the look of it in the Reno press shots but those Autocar pictures of it with the cup suspension upgrade and that yellowy [bit colour blind] paint job have changed my mind about it. Im even starting to warm to those wheels.......the colour of them is absolutely spot on makes...
