Bet they'll rag it to a 3 figure speed when there out testing it on there own !! hahaha
They certainly rag mine cos my motor was in at the garage a while back and my mate who works up the road saw them fly past his work at break neck speeds !! Also i was speaking to a Reno mechanic where i...
Direct Line's quotes are no where near as competitive as they used to be. They put mine up for absolutely no reason a year back so i said thanks and bye bye and switched to Norwich Union and knocked off 100 quid !!
Big job to do. I ended up taking the engine mount off the drivers side to jack the engine up a fair bit to get into all the bolts.
I wouldnt put old gaskets back on myself. For the sake of a few quid get them replaced.
No dont waist your time dropping a bigger engine in. By the time youve bought one and fitted it you could have gone and bought a 172 !!
If you really must, i'd just splash out on the ICE side of it then at least you can ripp it out when you come to sell the car and wont have lost anything
They want £366 for the top manifiold.
Only problem with a 182 manifold they arnt easy to make fit to a 172.
Anyone know if there's any company's planning to make a straight bolt in 4 - 2 - 1 manifold ??
Whats folks opinions on this ?? Would it be as good as using a 182 manifold on a 172 ??

Improvement over the standard factory rims ??
Yeah they do look good especially with the uprated brake set up showing through.
Glad he's selling the ''172'' lights.....the further that abortion distances its self from a 172 the better !!..... give us lot a bad name ruining a 172 like that hahaha
I thought they where really strict now ??
Was talking to this bloke begining of the year and he reckoned no one could cheat the system cos every M.O.T tester now has a emissions card thing to run through a machine
Has anyone here put there 172s through a M.O.T leaving there decat on and not bothering putting the cat back on ???
On a local forum a lot of folk have put there cars through with a decat on and theyve passed no problems !!
